Amanda Waller is such an underrated character. like yeah she's often the antagonist of a story but it takes a LONG time for her to become a villain, (and even then, her corruption isnt motivated by capital or blind hate for all metahumans) and in batman beyond we see the consequences of that, no redemption arc, but a resolution. everything about her character is the antithesis of the psychology of a vigilante superhero, she simply doesnt have the luxury of being able to wage vigilante wars of vengeance, or run around with a bow and arrow shooting purse snatchers
She's the answer to the crudy world for sure

After watching episode 2 the ending fits lol. The show doesn't take itself too seriously(it does a bit in the first ep) I really enjoy that the most. It like an anime/ silly version of James Gunn's humor in peacemaker and Suicide squad 2. Which was already silly.

He is a failed actor so now he is all about the drama and cliches like a meta commentator complaining how the isekai story isn't going the way it should be. In other words bro thinks he is the protagonist. The others are like: "ooooh, I see. You were the kind of actor who wanted to change the script. No wonder you didn't succeed."
He gets slapped with the harsh reality every time he tries to pull that off.
