I actually agree with Jay on Geto's stance. From the very beginning Geto was weak minded. Even the way he was talking about the duty of a sorcerer being to protect 'normal' people, he had already built a barrier between the two. He saw them as less than. Like pets that needed to protected. But then he found out about Tengen needing a normal girl, then a person without cursed energy beating him and his bro when he was the strongest, then finding out that the ones who started it all were the very 'pets' he was protecting he couldn't handle it. He still refused to look at them like equals so he blamed them instead. They were now no longer cherished pets but wild animals, monkeys.
