Matt is truly brilliant - so much more advanced harmonically than loads of other bassists who have chops - he's a really cool guy as well - he's one to watch but saying that he's been doing this shit for 15 years now - he's a great, great bassist.
Can't believe how the time flies so fast. This movie has been uploaded 16 years ago!! See how Matt Garrison is evolved not only in the music but also useage of the media form.
I've never seen or heard of,"Matt Garrison"until the october issue of bass player mag. This guy is unreal, with the 5 string tuned to the high"C",always thought about it but never tried. He's right there with Wooten! It does make u want to quit or practice all the time.
Matthew has been around for some time You must not listen to very much jazz/fusion He's also recorded quite a bit with John McLaughlin as well as many other fusion greats. He's a totally awesome bassist.
like...shit, that´s brutal, man! I like the father, but what this Garrison family is able to do?! Impressive...this in not about studing a lot, this is magic strait from heaven, you just born with that! CHEERS
awesome matt! hey is that a pickup in the middle or just a ramp ? please advise? my singlecut has 3 slim pickups per my design i was wondering if u have 3 pups or 2
If I keep on watching guys like Matt Garrison, Di Piazza, Manring and Jeff Schmidt here in TH-cam I think I'm gonna quit playing Bass and start selling vacuum cleaners :-(
