  • A common threat to motorists are the jamming of their vehicle's security systems which leaves the vehicles and its content vulnerable to crime and criminals. This however was an honest problem cause by a faulty remote which caused the vehicles in its vicinity not to lock. Always check that your car doors are locked before leaving it.

    The jamming refers to normal jamming of transmitor or radio signals. Most house remote and most car central locking remotes transmit signals at the same frequency. The gate remote is designed for a longer reach and therefore has a much higher powered transmitor. If you try to use you central locking transmitor while the gate remote is transmitting, the the central locking signal gets jammed; it is never received by the cars central locking system's receiver. The central locking system there does not carry out the desired request (open or close). Normally the thieves want your car to remain open so that they can access the car when you have walked off.
    In this case it seems like the gate transmitter was continually transmitting. Most probably a stuck button.

    • @peanutbutterisfu
      @peanutbutterisfu ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No the real trick it to not leave anything valuable in ur vehicle, a $5 hammer or $5 spring loaded center punch will blow out a window instantly criminals don’t need any fancy equipment to steal anything from ur car so just don’t leave anything valuable inside and you won’t loose anything. There are vehicles (I will not say what they are because I don’t want to give anyone any ideas) that have poorly made plastic door handles that you can pull right off very easily they are made so crappy they commonly break off in winter time when the doors freeze and when you pull the Handle off u can push the rod to unlock the door and the other rod to open it, you can break into the car in the same amount of time it takes to use a key, I’m not exaggerating at all. Also if you manually lock ur doors the alarm in most cars will not turn on

      You complain about a "Land grab" but just look up your history books and learn that it was the whites coming from Europe who stole the land from the indigenous people in the first place. When you steal something, it never becomes your property - or the property of anyone you sell it on to, it remains the property of the original owner. So, this is not a land grad, it is the government returning the land to the heirs and successors of those who rightfully owned it. Think of a car - you get yours stolen - does it then rightfully belong to the thief, or is it still yours?

    Lo-Jack (car location devices) send a signal similar to a cellular phone signal to alert a monitoring service that a car has been stolen, a "Jammer" prevents the signal from reaching it's destination allowing the thieves to get away with the car and disable the lo-jack unit so they can then (most likely) strip the car at their leisure.

      @@cherylpemberton1676 brilliant answer to the video... The video in case you didn't notice was about a signal jammer. Wow.. Ppl like you need to move to another planet hey. Bye.

  • @FKtdyvan
    @FKtdyvan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I thought that these guys were driving around the parking lot to locate the jammer. As they drove around they kept counting down from 3 to 1 or 0. Then, I saw a guy walking with what appears to be a police dog. But I don't see them finding the car or person who was doing the jamming. At one point they said "hy is net hier onder," but they never show how they get there to find the jammer and his jamming equipment. Then, also they show something a bit unrelated in the video that is supposed to be about a car being jammed with signals to talk about signals involving gates to houses. What are these guys really doing and what is going on?

      A common way to get access to a car is to jam the signal from the car's key to the central lock. The driver thinks the car is locked and walks away. The perp then cleans out the car when the driver is in the mall. It really sucks, as the insurance will then state that there was no "forced entry" and not pay up ...

    If people were smart enough they would hit the lock button twice on their remote. What happens when you do is if it a manufactured alarm the horn would beep. Don't car manufacturers in South Africa have this option to let people know there alarm is armed and doors are locked???
