- Another great day out in the beautiful Peak district, knocking off another 2 tops from my Peak 75 list.
The peak 75 is a list of hills/places in the Peak district national park that i have compiled for my own pleasure, allowing me to get out into this beautiful area and tick them off, a few are popular with walkers while most are rarely walked. Cheers mate...twas a good day out
Those rain clouds looked like a painting. Another beautiful hike, Stephen, and another two off the list. Ooooo, we're halfway there!!! I thought you couldn't resist the well-deserved pint. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Chris...long time no hear...hope you are ok...yeas those clouds really were something else...a great day out.
Hi Stephen..loved this walk so pretty ….well you got a pint after all lol ..I must admit I did think you were going to take the the route that led you to the pub ..I think you fooled us ….but yes another one of your many beautiful walk ..so thank you as always 😊
Thanks Ruth...yes it's a very pretty area...i think most people would have thought i would choose the pub route...thanks so much for your continued support.
Those clouds were spectacular. Enjoyed your walk. Stunning scenery. Been warm and sunny here the last few days. Picnic looked great. Sitting outside with a beer. What a good way to end your trip and you were lucky with the rain holding off. Look forward to your next adventure. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Hi Dave and Dawn...really enjoyed this one...i suppose the weather helps....thanks folks.
cracking walk that steven glad you the black clouds following you mate i had blue skys all round hartington area on my walk 👍👍👍
Hi Steve...yeah it was a cracker..so nice now the weather is improving.
The cloud formations early in the walk could have been painted by Michelangelo. Magnificent.Good day for extensive views.
Thanks Michael....those clouds sure were impressive.
Looked like a great walk, Stephen. A well-earned beer at the end. I can't believe you are halfway through 75s already.
Thanks Andy...yeah getting through them a treat
That storm cloud would have followed me round for the 10 mile 😂, excellent vlog as always 👍
Thanks Rob..i can't believe it didn't get a soaking
Another outstanding film young Steven, you have certainly mastered the art of videography. I truly believe that drinking the Smart Water has indeed made you smart. Thought the wind conditions were light as I could actually hear what you were saying🤣 Some menacing cloud above your head, you were luck to keep dry. The end of walk beer looked impressive as did your lunchbox. Yes a really great film, well done to you. 👍
Well Mike...thank you so much for that..before i started drinking Smart water, i was a complete shambles...i could barely put a sentance together....but now, all has changed, stuttering has almost stopped, my confidence has gone through the roof...maybe soon i shall start incorporating a few long words into the videos.
Stunning trip 👌
Thanks a lot mate.
Nice one Stephen. Another excellent vlog. And Another area i havnt done much of. And you beat the rain clouds. 👌
Thanks 👍...it's a nice area...and very quiet for a bank holiday monday.
Sorry I can't tell you about Highlow Hill, but can tell you Highlow Hall is reputed to be haunted...that hill you came up from Hathersage to Abbey is lethal in winter ...my sister used to live at Abbey years ago and when we left her house to go to Hathersage it was covered in thick ice and ended up taking a full wing off my car ...I remember your Bradwell walk, to of my lads work at Hope Quarry(cement works)...great filming again with those ominous clouds...was expecting the drink option but Goose Nest Wood is a firm favourite of mine down by the river...and it really would be rude not to have a pint in the Plough..... Brilliant as usual Steven ...loved it ...Cheers Les🙂👍
Bloody Predictive Text ...Abney 🥴
Thanks Les...i knew that Abbey meant Abney...i knew an expert on the Peak district wouldn,t make a mistake like that..i can imagine that road in winter...i wouldn't want to drive up it...i suppose the people of Abney must get used to it...i have never been to the Plough before so that was nice....cheers mate.
A religious hill steve you can't get too? Curios! A lovely summer start and windless for a change. It's on your side for the 37th 75'er. And what a sweet walk - love them tops and the steady going. Well, 10 miles is obviously the magic number - it got you back on time. 11 and you would have been dumped on. Good going. Mark
Thanks Mate...i really would have got dumped on at 11...yeah there is a huge 10ft high cross on High low but no access to it...shame...cheers pal...hope you are well.
@@atrampinthehills.841 There you go - I was right. Me? All good thanks.
Not done much walking round here, looks lovely though. Shame about the cement works spoiling the view. Loved the mini cairn on top.
Cheers ...appreciate the feedback
Another cracking walk. Those thunder clouds looked quite biblical didn't they? Well earned Peroni at the end.... Nice one.
Thanks Mike...can't believe i kept dry on this one
Beautiful skies and beautiful countrysides. Really enjoyed this. Cheers!
Thanks Dan...it means a lot.
Nice walk Steve and a well deserved pint at the end, that’s what it’s all about 👍
Hi Ken...yeah a pint was a must on this hot day.
There's some more pretty great hiking territory!! A beauty of a day, but some of those clouds look rather threatening! I always feel fortunate when I am able to enjoy a nice walk and not bring home a wet Otis!! lol Hope you're looking forward to a great weekend!
Thanks Bruce...yes the dark clouds looked amazing...surprise it made it with getting soaked...cheers mate.
Beautiful blue skies and green pastures, now we are talking! Very quiet for a Bank Holiday Weekend, just you and the sheep! Scorching weather and no wind. 38 is amazing in such a short amount of time. Prawn Cocktail crisps, wonder what was on the sarnie? 🧐 well done on getting most of the walk done before the 2pm rain! 👍
Thanks folks...hoping to do a couple more tomorrow...hopefully not to hot...time to dig out the shorts.
Enjoyed that one Steve. So quite for a bank holiday - you chose well 😊
Cheers mate...yeah a surprising quiet one...hoping for more of the same tomorrow.
Another great walk Steve
Beautiful blue skies at the start, its very quiet for a Bank Holiday
Well done over half way, getting through them quickly
Definitely deserved that pint at the end
Hope you're having a good week 😊
Thanks folks...made it to the end of another working week...hoping to get out tomorrow for some more countryside fun.
Lovely and peaceful, beautiful views and countryside. Do you have any plans for any Wainwrights Steven?
Hi Emma...finished the Wainwrights several years ago [ 23 ]...i do however chip away at my second round occasionally.
@@atrampinthehills.841 oh right wow well hope to see some videos when you get back there 😊
Oh the choices in life! Knew you would succumb!
I am very weak willed when it comes to Beer/Lager.
Amazing, it's like you are giving us a tour of the Peak District! Me and my brother call Meadowhall MeadowHELL- I can't imagine wanting to go on a bank holiday when it's nice out!😆
Thanks Carrie...i have only been to Meadowhell once...that was enough.
Great video Steve. Take care and catch you on the next one 👍
Cheers mate....real nice of you.
A great hike for bank hol weekend.... meadow hall 😂 id hate going if i was the only one there....
I wouldn't be seen dead in the place...Ha Ha.
@@atrampinthehills.841 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought you were going to get stormed on. Nice of it to leave you alone and let you enjoy the hike today😁
Thanks Age...i was amazed that i never got a soaking...cheers mate.
Nice bright video such clarity in the image. Whatever settings you are using it is brilliantly stunning.❤
Thanks David...thanks for the lovely comment.
Great video, love it up there. The grey ditch is worth a visit, it starts at Rebellion Knoll.
Thanks Stuart...i thought of you and the Grey ditch.

@@atrampinthehills.841 okay no problem
I liked your video so I commented
@@sabbirhossainzihad OF COURSE
Beautiful route Steve. Fantastic weather and how good is it to be sweating because of the heat 😁
Thanks Phil...yeah it was a hot one...probably be hotter for tomorrows walk...time to dig the shorts out
Hello Steven.
You are smashing them💪
Go shopping or walking? 😂
Nice you had time to chill and take it all in. I’ve gone out and had a short length of time, don't enjoy it the same then.
You had beautiful views and what a cracking walk. Loved the forest part at the end with the flowers too.
Nice job.👏👏
Hope you enjoyed your beer when you got home.😉👍
Thanks Jamie...hoping to knock another couple off tomorrow.
@atrampinthehills.841
No stopping you!👏👏💪
Hope I'm still going strong like you in a few years. It's great to see.
I was out Saturday.
Did two shorts, they have gone well.
I do ok on shorts.
Trying to edit the video now.
I'm wild camping lake district this month for 3 days. I'll be busy, very busy.
It's a 5 hour drive. Washing in lakes and that stuff. I need a good few beers for that.😁👋
@@JamieHarding5 Look forward to seeing your adventures up in Lakeland...if you love the countryside as much as me you will still be at...im only 63, hope to continue for another 20 years...
@@atrampinthehills.841
That good.
I like that. You can keep smashing it for another 20 years no problem.
Younger people are missing out on so much. The odd vid here and there might spark something in them.
I'm 45 and feel fit, or as fit as I've been before. I think if you keep moving you keep going.👍
@@JamieHarding5 That's right.....Don't use it...you lose it
I love to think about how people have been walking these trails for thousands of years. Where i am there is no archeology of structures, the archeological evidence is the trail itself, still being used by crazy hikiers instead of hunter gathering nomads.
Thanks...as always it is lovely to hear from you
