I have a newspaper clipping regarding the Regulators: James Binion being shot and killed by the Regulators as James was hiding a man named John Boggs, whom the Regulators came to run out of the county. James Binion was the brother of William Binion my 3 X Great Grandfather. James was also the father of Lincoln Binion, who was the assistant of Matthew Sellers (famed Aviator). James was born in 1825 and died in 1880. James was married to Nancy Matilda Barker, daughter of Hardin Barker and Annis Wilson. Hardin was the son on Hezekiah Barker & Susannah Sebastian our 4X Great Grandparents. There are Barkers and Binion's listed on the rosters of The Carter Regulators and a good chance that some of them were present the night that James Binion was killed.
