  • Thanks to the internet, it's hard to find a brick-and-mortar bookstore where business is going well, let alone one in Midtown Manhattan. But three sisters in their 70s have managed to keep their doors open, despite the odds stacked against them. Anthony Mason has more.

1:05 they're still there because the business is still profitable, they don't want to leave, and they like being around books, they don't want to move for no reason, and they don't want to sell their property to greedy real estate people. seems like kind of a strange question.

Thank you for protecting the books. It's becoming more and more important with the banning of Gone with the Wind and now Shakespeare in some school districts because of political correctness.

Which books of Shakespeare have been banned? Surely it’s not his popular classics such as: Romeo & Juliet, Taming of the Shrew, Othello, King Lear, Henry VI trilogies and A Midsummer Night’s Dream?

Owning a building in NY City is like a diamond mine! How much would it cost in today's valuation?

She's like books are in danger.......In danger of what ? I'm asking my self ? BOOKS ARE THRIVING, and people are still buying them. You're still in business. And by the looks of it doing very well. Stop scarring people.

Their old leather/ 17th and 16th century books are overpriced ( I abhor material from the latter 19th century and onward as industrial age garbage) . Not a good place for me. If they tweak the prices a bit they may have a better time with me.
