Hi hi mam u r the best teacher really I know how to sew nice things because of u since I'm from dressmaking school
Love your video on drafting bodice pattern. Do you have a video on how to make a blouse or dress using the pattern and how to change the collars and sleeves?
I really love your tutorials and especially on off shoulder patterns. Am still struggling to understand how to draft with only the waist dart. Should i use the front half length or the back half length when determining my shoulder to waist point. Please note my front half length is longer than my back half length by 2" because of my fuller bust. Am a bit confused because from your pattern its clear both the front and back have the same length. Be blessed.
Thank you so much this was very detailed. I have a question concerning the armhole formula. You said we can use the armhole circumference divided by 2 or the formula you gave , what is the difference
Wow I love ur teaching skill, impressive
Thanks a lot ♥️
Very nice of u....very easy to understand the pattern... 👍❤️
Thankyou so much God bless you
Thank you . you made everything so simple. is there a calculation formula for bust, waist, hip lines? Shoulder to bust, waist, hip?
Thank you again
Thank you mum... Very helpful
Nice job ma'am
I cant explain how much you have helped me🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for such a detailed video! Sooo gratefull 🤗
Brilliant and thanks 👏👏👏👏
Waw...l really appreciate maam
Your videos are absolutely amazing 😻
Please my front Armhole was big when I tested the pattern is it because I didn't put a dart there? Grateful to have your feedback please.
A wealth of information on your channel. I have just subscribed not to miss any more of your tutorials
Thank you very much for the tutorial. Pls my question is what if I want the dart to get to the length of the dress how am I going to do it
Hello Vivian! I have gone through your basic body measurements, it's so detailed, I'm honestly very impressed 👌 👏.
As you gave us opportunities for questions, my question is: if I forgot to take thr measurements from shoulder to waist, what formula or how do I figure it out?
Thanks , you're indeed a great teacher. Have practiced it but will still repeat it. I'm a new subscriber.
You're welcome to the family ♥️
Really enjoyed this vid. Will you lower the front shoulder on the shoulder seam line. Some patterns have a lower edge in front so the shoulder seam is more forward. is this important. Thank you.
Yes, I did that, I stepped down by 1" for the shoulder slope
This is a great tutorial. Do you have any with the shoulder dart if not how do you add the shoulder dart?
You're welcome, i will do a video on that soon.
Thanks
thanks so much ma'am
God bless you
Please are there formulas for the vertical measurements?
That's for your tutorial ma, please after drafting on pattern paper, willi seal tape the dart that was cut before placing on fabrics?
You're welcome, no, you will not tape the dart, you would transfer it as it is.
Love from india ❤️❤️
You're welcome dear.
Ma I wish to ask if it's necessary to separate the day?
Please are we suppose to use this same dat measurement on all the sizes on dress we sew?
It's my passion to sew I don't have money to go to school or someone to teach me
Am learning it from you am now starting from scratch.
Is there any procedure to obtain these measurement or we just have to learn just like that???
Thank you for teach every little thing
You're welcome dear. For the dart, yes. For how to get the measurements, the video below would help, click on the link to watch:

Thank you so much.. Good teaching skills. I have just subscribed 👍
Thank you, You're welcome to the family,
Happy New year madam. Am greatful for your wonderful teaching God bless you, please i want to know from shoulder to bust for does who has big bust, I notice u mark 10n inches, am a little bite confused, I want to know more please. If u can kindly do a video for it thanks
Great video. How would you account for larger than average bust (DDD)?
You're welcome dear. This would work for DDD bust as well since it is not a bustier. All that is needed is to place the measurements as taken from the body.
@@MAGVIVICREATIONS Thank you. I guess I'm still confused. If I put in my high bust measurement and there is a 6in difference between my underbust, that means I need to adjust 3 inches for a bigger cup. Are you saying just use my high bust measurement/4, and it will account for the cup difference?
How do you get 10,13,24 for the vertical measurements
Measurements from the body, this video would help: th-cam.com/video/pVkhwZVgaUo/w-d-xo.html
Please after doing the draft how do you cut out on a fabric.searched all your videos I couldn't find one.
Sorry dear, I'll make a video on that soon.
how do i get the under bust
Good morning Ma please can you teach/make a video of how to sew Short/ trouser please, bcos I understand ur teaching very well thanks
Hi if yr burst and shoulder are equally like shoulder u get 8 and bust is aslo 8 what do u do with arm hole curve
It's normal in some cases. You will mark the armhole at that point.
@@MAGVIVICREATIONS okay but the curve for the back will be straight will t ft
How do you get the distance btw bust and underbust
This video would help:
th-cam.com/video/pVkhwZVgaUo/w-d-xo.html
How do I get the bust point please. Thanks
You're welcome dear, measure from your shoulder to the fullest part of your bust.
Thnks alot ma please can you do a tutorial on different types of neckline designs with illusion net and many more....thnks while waiting.
You're welcome, I'll try.
Hi aunty , please this is my first time here.
Is this the first stage I have to know about sowing please 🙏
You're welcome, here's the link to the first stage, click on the link to watch:
th-cam.com/video/pVkhwZVgaUo/w-d-xo.html
@@MAGVIVICREATIONS thank you 😊
A well detail tutorial. Is this the standard measurement for darts or can the measurement for darts change...
Yes, you can use any dart intake but replace the dart at the sides do that the dress would fit.
Pls is shoulder measurement the same as back measurement it always confuse me thx
Yes dear, you measure the shoulder from the back, the upper back, from one shoulder bone to the other.
Please mam is that for the both said or just one said
Both sides.
Good day ma
Pls how do u transfer d dart to the material?
You would open up the fabric and do exactly what you did on the paper to both sides of the fabric.
@@MAGVIVICREATIONS thank you ma...
Mam can u show bust n waist dart in front bodice?
Ok dear, I would make the video soon.
@@MAGVIVICREATIONS thank u😘
Your such a great teacher. Thanks and a new subscribers. Iam looking to see how to do a dress for my 5 yrs old. Do these calculations apply for little dress making too?
You're welcome dear, it's a bit similar in kids but kids don't have bust and so they don't need dart. Here's a video on how to draft for children:
th-cam.com/video/XgarfQDPEuo/w-d-xo.html
Good evening ma'am,you are really a great teacher.
Please how do I communicate with you one on one?

How do you know what the measurements points on the first steps are
You're welcome, watch the video on how to take body measurements, it is from there that you place the point
th-cam.com/video/pVkhwZVgaUo/w-d-xo.html
how do i get the under bust if i didn"t measure it
You're welcome, you would take 4" from your bust point.
Thank you for sharing with us , just the volume is too low
So sorry about the volume.
Thank you, you are a blessing may God continue to bless you with more
How to measure under bust am from Uganda Iove ur teachings dia thx mum
You're welcome, this video will help you: th-cam.com/video/uwAwgqVOhi0/w-d-xo.html
I noticed you added seam allowances everywhere except around the front and back armhole, should we add seam allowance there? otherwise we loose 2inch of material in this area
You're welcome dear, I added allowance that are need all round.
Where is the placement of the grain line on the paper pattern?
If the paper is on fold, the grain line is the mid point of the paper when spread open.
@@MAGVIVICREATIONS and if the paper isn’t on fold, where is the grain line placed?
@@maryannwolf864 the grain line is the same as the centre line (that's where the fold would be if it were on fold anyway) but you can draw the arrow of the grain line yourself by measuring any distance from the centre line (or fold) on 2 points and by connecting the points.
Is there a video I need to watch for this to make sense?
You're welcome dear, yes, you can watch the video on how to take body measurements, this basic bodice pattern is about placing those measurements to get your body form. Click on the link below to watch:
th-cam.com/video/pVkhwZVgaUo/w-d-xo.html
Well detailed ma pls why is the front armhole cuffed in than the back is it compulsory coz I make mine same thing pls kindly reply🙏🏾 ma
You're welcome dear, we curve in that area just to prevent do much fabric folding at the armhole area.
