    Outstanding! Simple and concise explanation on the subject of Hell and Aion. I've been studying the Revelation for a number of years, and I've come to the same conclusion. Thank you so much for posting this video.

    Outstanding commentary and revealing the truth. My findings as well. The church needs to know this truth and pastors need to study this subject and teach their congregations.

    Great points, Brian. We get our concepts of hell from pagan mythology and imaginations of man. We read those things into the text, but nowhere in the Bible does God say He will do such things to anyone. In the Old testament fire and brimstone are used to purify precious metal. Fire is also symbolic of his presence, direction and protection. The Israelites had a pillar of smoke by day and a pillar of fire by night, In the New Testament the disciples in the upper room received the Holy Spirit as flames of fire. On the road to Emmaus, the disciples recognized Jesus had been with them because their hearts burned within them. The greek word for the tongues of fire in the upper room is the same greek word used for fire in the lake of fire, the fire of God's presence. That is NOT the fire of pagan imagery.

      Fire and lava make the most precious diamonds and minerals and gold and silver. (The book of Micah and Malachi) It makes iron too. “Iron sharpens iron.”
      Tongues thirst for God and his word. Ie Lazarus and the rich man. Lazarus’ tongue…

      If you are correct , then Jesus Christ's whole mission and sacrifice on the cross, including His resurrection as well as all His teachings, is worth nothing. I totally disagree with your and the host's assumptions. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and He does not lie.

      @@jskok3280Jesus' death and resurrection is what opens the way for anyone (or everyone!) to be saved, so it's still totally relevant, regardless of whether people believe in an eternal hell or something temporary. Jesus saves, and if ultimately all are saved, then he has accomplished something even greater than most of us have thought!

    Philosophically hell is beyond twisted. I have thought that the eternal in eternal hellfire is a fire that burns not punishes forever.

      When you really stop and think about it, you have to accept all sorts of extra biblical and even outright unbiblical ideas in order for it to make any sense.

    I found Brian lacking in his ability to provide a biblically backed argument for any of the claims he made. Reason being; there were no actual references to scripture. There were lots of appeals to biblical knowledge and personal perspectives but not a single scripture was referenced.
    One thing I found very disturbing about the video is the dishonest way he defends his assertion that the word eternal doesn’t appear in the New Testament. He references the Greek word aiōn which, as he said does translate to age and not eternal. However he doesn’t present the word in context of a scripture because he knows that that is not the word that is translated as eternal in scripture. That word is aiōnios and translates to “without beginning and end, that which always has been and always will be.” Does that definition align with the definition of the English word eternal or does it not?
    See aiōnios in 2 Thessalonians 1:9, 2 Titus 2:10, 2 Corinthians 4:18 and many other places.

    The issue in the Bible is written in a Hebrew culture 2000 years ago, and a Western modern society. I learned more about Bible study of the time period, culture and history.

      Check out GoodGod channel on YT. Yahweh of the OT is evil, he does not resemble the true Heavenly Father that Jesus speaks of. Why is the god of the OT so mean? Murderous? Plunders? Dashes babies against stones? Takes 100's of thousands of cattle for himself as well as gold, silver, copper and iron? What does God need with a cut from plundering cities he's ordered people to do??? That is NOT my Father in Heaven. Jesus says in the NT: no one has seen the Father but me~ so _who_ were the OT prophets seeing????!!!
      Not Father God, that's for sure.

    Heaven n Hell are exclusively eternal..

    • @cleverestx
      @cleverestx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Incorrect. Hell wasn't even extant until 725AD...this is a bit late for God to be warning humanity about such a pagan place existing. Actually watch the video for more help and read what early Christian leaders, pre-5th century taught IN MAJROTY about judgment/salvation. It's quite the opposite of this claim here. Judgement is real, but an eternal punishment that never ends removes all justice and is wholly (not "holy") CORRUPT. It's not of Jesus and Jesus would never allow such a place and state of being to exist, because Jesus actually DOES love HIS enemies, and by extension, our own enemies too. The same commandment He gives us to do, and it doesn't get canceled at death. Where does that leave our enemies...obviously they will no longer our enemies (eventually).

    • @thecarlitosshow7687
      @thecarlitosshow7687 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Robert-yf5zhthe parable of that is also a reconciliation not Just between god and man but between man and man. It’s to the people that have hurt us and we can make reparations and reconcile with our victims or victimizers in the case of Lazarus and the rich man. The rich man was still selfish in hades but was thirsty for his tongue was on fire for the word of God. He was learning the error of his ways to be restored to his True identity which is the image of God. Universal Reconcilation which the church taught for up to 500 Ad had this view. God and man reconcilied and man and man reconciled complete the Godhead. Amen 🙏
