It seems you have a problm in you device, so you can the the disk by: type chkdsk E: /f /r /x (replace E with the drive letter for your device which contains I/O device error).

Didn’t work for me did all this and got stuck with “this partitions is of GFB style” won’t let me format either.
The disk is a GPT partition so you should convert it to MBR.
In the same window command select the disk partion ( diskpart --> list partition --> select disk (your disk) ) and enter : convert mbr

After typing "create partition primary size" I get the message- Diskpart has encountered an error: the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. What should I do?
This error implies acces to the device is interrupted so the operation system is unable to read or write to the drive due to a bad connection or an impacted drive latter.
Try to change the drive latter. Then open CMD as administrator and type this command to check and repair the drive : chkdsk /f /r X:
==> Replace X with your drive latter

It seems that you are trying to install windows on USB or an external hard drive.
The first thing to do is fomat you USb/hard drive with NTFS format. Then download WinToUSB software and use it to boot your USB /external hard drive.

Did you specify the right path ? Because you have just a problm in the path you already specified.
Example ::
cd C:
xcopy C: E:/e/h/k

Did you have the message "access denied " or "I/O device error" ?
If you have access denied, it means that ur hard drive is considered unauthorized or blocked. So I suggest to run the CMD as administrator

Maybe the problem cames from your hard drive.
I tried this procedure correctly and ejected my USB bootable device (Windows 10 installer) and restarted but it says "Operating System not Found"
The problem is on the USB bootable device because the system didn't find any OS in ur USB device .
You can boot the USB again and retry.
I was actually able to boot the USB device, make partitions on the SSD but there wasn’t really any way the SSD couldnt be installed a Windows OS on the Dell Inspiron Mini 1012 I’ve been working on. Thanks anyway!

Then, easily you can make the installation as any other software. The computer will restart to make the update.

Yes bro you should press the boot button of your computer (F2, F9, F10,or F12 depending on your computer )to continu booting.
In the tutoriel I have just shown how to avoid the disk partition problem by creating new safe partition and copy all the data to it. You can check the booting process in another video in my Channel.

It's just locked bro.
You can unlock the it easily. just search on how to unlock or enable bios advenced setting according to you laptop model, and it will appear again in your bios setting.
Use this method may it work for you :
-Pressing "A" key while entering BIOS setting
after pressing your key to enter the BIOS setting (usually F1,F2,F10,F10, echap or DELETE) immediately press A one.
And look around your manus and see if something is unlocked.

What is meaning of e/h/k
"E" specifies the destination drive, in our case it's the E drive.
"/h" to copy hidden and system files
"/e" used to copy empty directories
"/k" to keep read-only attribute
"/c" used to continue copying, even if an error is encountered.

I followed the exact steps i have an nvme m.2 samsung evo970 500gb. My bios is set on legacy mode . My boot usb iso is set on mbr and yet it shows the same msg even after following your guide
Did you try yo use GPT partition !
@@electroskillschannel471 actually i did . The problem is that when i use legacy mode and mbr format . Sata mode on ahci . Sata controller enabled. The msg during installation says that windows cant boot from this hardware...etc. when i chose gpt mode with uefi and i disable csm. The m.2 nvmi cant be found at all

@@akshayraj4086 unfortunately i had to sell my 500 nvme ssd and buy an 1tb sata ssd with the same price. I found no solution. It has no point having an nvme ssd but not boot from it.

This problem is due to a connection error between your PC and your Hard drive, USB ...
Try this process :
1- open CMD command as administrator and enter this command
chdsk /r d:
Change the letter d with the letter of the drive path letter that is facing the problem. And CMD window
2- re- open CMD command prompt again as administrator. Enter this command :
sfc /scannow
It will take some time. If finished close the command window
3- go to device manger and select disk drivers and clique to update. Choose "brows ly computer for driver software" --> chose "let me pick from a list ..." --> and select disk driver and clique next.
4-Restart your computer.
It didn't help me.
Your last command of (xcopy C: E: .... Didn't work for me) it is saying " the system cannot find the file specified" and volume E didn't generate as well. I followed it as it is.
E is the disk part you just create in the previous command

@@electroskillschannel471 and why do you need that, bro? how is that related to the problem announced at the title. I spent 3 hours this night trying to figure this out, I was thinking I need to do this console stuff and copying shit, but the solution was simply to update the bios
If the bios update worked for you, others may not work for them bro. Or the process to update the bios isn't clear for them. Sometime just cleaning the disk it's enough, but sometimes it's necessary to make a new partition and store on it the system files to continue booting.

How to create drive letter
When you activate the partition, the next step is to assign a letter. In the video i just let system do it.
But if you want specify a specific letter you can simply enter this command :
assign letter = name
P.S : replace name by the letter you want
