I remember one friend crying and telling me he was happy and excited about his son, when he found out his girlfriend was pregnant. There's also the longing that men feel when we don't have kids. Like there's something missing, that we need, but we don't have it. For me, that feeling started around 24 years old, for my father, he felt it around 22, but he started dating my mother and had me when he was 29.

My mother was an OB GYN and she was terrified something was going to be wrong with my sister, but she was perfectly normal and healthy. It's not too late until you hit menopause. You could still have 10 or even 15 more years before that starts. Even though the risk increases with age, that doesn't necessarily mean the child would be unhealthy. Also I hate the way as men we're portrayed as just wanting sex and to leave. Most men dream of having a wife and children and growing old with their families. The reason why it took so long was a number of factors: a) my younger sister, who is also severely disabled, was also being abused; if I tried anything, God-knows what he would've done to her; b) our mum practically facilitated the abuse by pretending there was nothing weird going on. But giving what was happening, it's obvious she either did want to know,; or did know, but acted as being the injured one, when she was a tyrant behind the front door, whilst c) was convincing enough that even _after_ dad was imprisoned, family and friends were convinced she knew nothing, which was just physically impossible ... which then d) created essentially a invisible wall of silence. But, by that point, having spent seven years being abused by him, every fortnight, it became 'routine' to the point it dropped past my semi-concious. I stopped remembering it was happening ... ... and the longer it lasts, the more buried it becomes ... it's how the brain 'compensates' for regular abuse. 23yrs sounds like a long time ... but not really ... It's hard to explain to anyone who _hasn't_ experienced that just how twisted things become in a hurry, and, with no apparent support network, no family whom would listen, and no teachers who are cared ... you're on your own ...

At my old job. New staff member a 17yr old girl had recently moved into town with her mother. Older colleague took a liking to her but being 40 and fuck ugly she avoided him like the plague. Skip 2 months later and he's somehow got into her mother pants and 1 week later he's moved into their house. New girl would tell me stories of him wondering the house one stiff breeze away from being naked and would regualry walk into her room when he knew she'd most be likely to be changing and "pretend" like it was an innocent mistake. He even came home drunk one night and "accidentally" fell over grabbing onto the bathroom door and ripping it from it's hinges and after promising to fix it, he took 3 weeks to do so meaning new girl had to shower with no privacy. That was the last straw for me so when he and I were finally paired together for a shift at work I "accidentally" dropped a 25kg gas can onto his foot shattering his ankle and making him bedridden at home and locked behind the till at work. New girl was very grateful, gave me a peck on the cheek and nothing more was said about his antics after since the relationship broke up a month later after mother found 1 too many thongs amongst their things in her bedroom. Hint. Mother didn't wear thongs. But she knew someone in the house who did and she knew that someone was very OCD about doing their laundry themselves.

My oldest stepbrothers first step dad (his mom remarried my dad) dated a pedo who got off essentially because all the child p**n was on her boyfriend’s computer at the time of their arrest and her lawyer made the argument that it’s not illegal to fantasize about have relations with children. This same women would sent pictures of her own flesh and blood daughters to that same boyfriend to pleasure himself to, she told him to fantasize what he would do to them. And what did my stepbrothers stepdad do with this info you may ask? Hid it, he knew everything, and he hid it. He brought his own young children around this woman frequently, and brought her into my fathers home and around my little sister. And when my stepbrother googled his stepdad’s girlfriend he immediately found all the articles and court transcripts for her trial and everything she did. He told his mom and we were all rightfully furious with him. He chose her over all his kids, then came back over a year later explaining that he left her. That turned out to be a lie. He was told to stay away from our home as long as she was involved in his life. He lost all rights and custody of his kids and is not allowed to speak or see any of them till they are a minimum of 18 years old. Totally fucked situation.

What's the creepiest thing I've heard... Well it doesn't involve a step-dad. But it is crazy. This made news headlines in India. Can't remember where, but its some rural town in North India. This one guy is a dad who works in a warehouse, loading boxes onto and off of interstate trains. He gets a Whatsapp message from the clown in his friend group, as part of a prank. You're in the middle of your workday, you click a link, and the contents gross you out and if you have people around you, its a shock and everyone looks at you like, "Man, wtf kind of crap are you into?" Sometimes its shock value crap, but mostly its pr0n. Anyway this guy opens the link and its a 14-year-old girl being stripped and rather too intimately bathed by a creepy guy in his 50s. The girl is clearly able-bodied and old enough to bathe by herself and have a sense of modesty and privacy. But this guy recognises the girl is his daughter and the creep is his brother and her uncle. Basically, during the afternoons no one else is home, and this creepy guy would use the time to take his niece out to their backyard and bathe together by the bore-well which they use to irrigate their paddy fields. Led to a massive family fallout and a police investigation. The creep did two-years in prison because he was indecent but also didn't "cause injury or harm" to the girl.
The worst thing a step dad of mine did was when i was 8 i had a extremely high of 41 degrees and had to go to the hospital and he didnt give me anything to eat or drink. My dad came to visit to see how i was doing since he knew i was sick but he didnt know how bad it was, he came just to find my step dad doing cocaine (sniffing injecting etc) while i was with a fever and the temperature wasnt going down only up and didnt eat or drink anything the whole day. My dad exploded beat the shit out of him kicked him out took me to the hospital. The doctors said if he came later it could have gotten much worst. The moment my mom knew after my dad called her telling everything that happened she dumped my step dad. And yes my dad had the keys to the house in case of emergencies like qhen someone forgets their keys or loses them same way i have a spare key to his house for the same reasons.

Regarding the step dad thing, there was a woman who when her stepdad was in the hospital, she decided to clean his place up for him. She by moving the mouse, woke up the PC and his wallpaper was a nude of her. The PC didn't have a password. She dug around his PC and found nudes of her. Nudes that she clearly didn't send to him at all. IIRC, she ended up killing him. You can just Google "Woman Finds Her Nudes On her Stepdads Computer" and you'll see it. The articles of course.
Step dad scenario I'm WELL aware of, it involves a family i KNEW. I severed all ties after this came to light. Step Dad had raised the daughter since birth, her mother (called step dad for story, but wasn't with the mother just raised her spawn, more than one less than five) was in and out of the picture due to multiple addictions. I knew 'step daughter' was heavily medicated from a young age as often I would have sleep overs at their house and she was always asleep super early and often you couldn't wake her if you tried, i being several years younger I did try and wake her as a young kid to ask for food and such... 5 or so years pass and a lot of drama had occurred so I don't recall being in much contact with them. Step daughter ate a lot of xanax one night and attempted to commit suicide by jumping off of a bridge, she survived 'luckily'. There is a news article to correlate some this next part but i won't post it to avoid drama. Whilst in the ICU recovering from said suicide attempt, the person had told myself and other people (some family) that 'so and so' had been drugging her for years and quite often she woke up (FROM BEING DRUGGED) with him on top of her thrashing away like the pig he is. He was arrested in a heroin bust as was a semi-large dealer, alongside his 'brother' who was actually convicted and sentenced for tampering with his around 10 y/o daughters friend, this whole family was just creepy but the extent of how i knew them wasn't by choice - really touchy to elaborate. The two men were never brothers but wards of the state and met in a boys home together, i dare say tampered with themselves. The step father being the real 'bread winner' he convinced HER MOTHER that he was just in love with step daughter and meant her no harm, the mother being the drug addict PIG she is clearly took whatever cash and heroin was handed to her and the situation just died in the ass, no police, no arrest, no nothing - she was 25ish by the time this all came to light to MY knowledge. Not only did she not press charges, she supported that clown through his entire 3-4 year prison term for the heroin trafficking charges and now lives in a unit he pays for, WITH HER MOTHER. I left that side of Melbourne they lived on well over a decade ago, thinking good riddance. They now live 5 minutes away and I see them constantly but can't look any single one of them in the eye. The story is super tragic and there's a lot to it, including how i was involved with them and it sucks but yeah, top step dad right there. Hope it's not too confusing but it is true and super fucked up.

It’s a good wake up call for others to learn from. I’m glad she’s told it. Hopefully it’ll make others more aware of the possibility and sometimes, in horrible situations, all you can do is find the dark sense of humour about it. Not going to lie this was SUPER triggering. My step-dad was my grapist for 23 years. It wasn't until 2 years ago that my mother finally believed me when my little sister came forward too about it. He started on her at 13. I wish I could tell that girl that she didn't ruin her mother's marriage, HE RUINED IT! ugh. So there's your creepiest step-dad thing, I used to have to barricade my bedroom door every single night because he would watch me sleep and take pictures without me knowing. He put hidden cameras in the bathroom. I could give tell you things for days. I pray no one else go through anything similar, however the world is a shitty place with some shitty ass people.

My late dad abused me from 14 - 22 ...
The reason why it took so long was a number of factors: a) my younger sister, who is also severely disabled, was also being abused; if I tried anything, God-knows what he would've done to her; b) our mum practically facilitated the abuse by pretending there was nothing weird going on. But giving what was happening, it's obvious she either did want to know,; or did know, but acted as being the injured one, when she was a tyrant behind the front door, whilst c) was convincing enough that even _after_ dad was imprisoned, family and friends were convinced she knew nothing, which was just physically impossible ... which then d) created essentially a invisible wall of silence. But, by that point, having spent seven years being abused by him, every fortnight, it became 'routine' to the point it dropped past my semi-concious. I stopped remembering it was happening ...
... and the longer it lasts, the more buried it becomes ... it's how the brain 'compensates' for regular abuse. 23yrs sounds like a long time ... but not really ...
It's hard to explain to anyone who _hasn't_ experienced that just how twisted things become in a hurry, and, with no apparent support network, no family whom would listen, and no teachers who are cared ... you're on your own ...
@Honyocker Knows There's going to be a lot of emotional and mental trauma. Your mind will allow all kinds of bad things to happen to you as an adult, just because it happened to you as a child. The switch gets flipped and they turn everything off during the abuse. It turns back on and it's almost like nothing happened. It's a mental self defense and coping thing.
At my old job. New staff member a 17yr old girl had recently moved into town with her mother.
Older colleague took a liking to her but being 40 and fuck ugly she avoided him like the plague.
Skip 2 months later and he's somehow got into her mother pants and 1 week later he's moved into their house.
New girl would tell me stories of him wondering the house one stiff breeze away from being naked and would regualry walk into her room when he knew she'd most be likely to be changing and "pretend" like it was an innocent mistake.
He even came home drunk one night and "accidentally" fell over grabbing onto the bathroom door and ripping it from it's hinges and after promising to fix it, he took 3 weeks to do so meaning new girl had to shower with no privacy.
That was the last straw for me so when he and I were finally paired together for a shift at work I "accidentally" dropped a 25kg gas can onto his foot shattering his ankle and making him bedridden at home and locked behind the till at work.
New girl was very grateful, gave me a peck on the cheek and nothing more was said about his antics after since the relationship broke up a month later after mother found 1 too many thongs amongst their things in her bedroom. Hint. Mother didn't wear thongs. But she knew someone in the house who did and she knew that someone was very OCD about doing their laundry themselves.

And what did my stepbrothers stepdad do with this info you may ask? Hid it, he knew everything, and he hid it. He brought his own young children around this woman frequently, and brought her into my fathers home and around my little sister. And when my stepbrother googled his stepdad’s girlfriend he immediately found all the articles and court transcripts for her trial and everything she did. He told his mom and we were all rightfully furious with him. He chose her over all his kids, then came back over a year later explaining that he left her. That turned out to be a lie. He was told to stay away from our home as long as she was involved in his life. He lost all rights and custody of his kids and is not allowed to speak or see any of them till they are a minimum of 18 years old. Totally fucked situation.

Well it doesn't involve a step-dad. But it is crazy. This made news headlines in India.
Can't remember where, but its some rural town in North India. This one guy is a dad who works in a warehouse, loading boxes onto and off of interstate trains. He gets a Whatsapp message from the clown in his friend group, as part of a prank. You're in the middle of your workday, you click a link, and the contents gross you out and if you have people around you, its a shock and everyone looks at you like, "Man, wtf kind of crap are you into?" Sometimes its shock value crap, but mostly its pr0n.
Anyway this guy opens the link and its a 14-year-old girl being stripped and rather too intimately bathed by a creepy guy in his 50s. The girl is clearly able-bodied and old enough to bathe by herself and have a sense of modesty and privacy.
But this guy recognises the girl is his daughter and the creep is his brother and her uncle.
Basically, during the afternoons no one else is home, and this creepy guy would use the time to take his niece out to their backyard and bathe together by the bore-well which they use to irrigate their paddy fields.
Led to a massive family fallout and a police investigation. The creep did two-years in prison because he was indecent but also didn't "cause injury or harm" to the girl.

The worst thing a step dad of mine did was when i was 8 i had a extremely high of 41 degrees and had to go to the hospital and he didnt give me anything to eat or drink. My dad came to visit to see how i was doing since he knew i was sick but he didnt know how bad it was, he came just to find my step dad doing cocaine (sniffing injecting etc) while i was with a fever and the temperature wasnt going down only up and didnt eat or drink anything the whole day. My dad exploded beat the shit out of him kicked him out took me to the hospital. The doctors said if he came later it could have gotten much worst. The moment my mom knew after my dad called her telling everything that happened she dumped my step dad.
And yes my dad had the keys to the house in case of emergencies like qhen someone forgets their keys or loses them same way i have a spare key to his house for the same reasons.

Regarding the step dad thing, there was a woman who when her stepdad was in the hospital, she decided to clean his place up for him. She by moving the mouse, woke up the PC and his wallpaper was a nude of her. The PC didn't have a password. She dug around his PC and found nudes of her. Nudes that she clearly didn't send to him at all. IIRC, she ended up killing him. You can just Google "Woman Finds Her Nudes On her Stepdads Computer" and you'll see it. The articles of course.

Step dad scenario I'm WELL aware of, it involves a family i KNEW. I severed all ties after this came to light.
Step Dad had raised the daughter since birth, her mother (called step dad for story, but wasn't with the mother just raised her spawn, more than one less than five) was in and out of the picture due to multiple addictions.
I knew 'step daughter' was heavily medicated from a young age as often I would have sleep overs at their house and she was always asleep super early and often you couldn't wake her if you tried, i being several years younger I did try and wake her as a young kid to ask for food and such...
5 or so years pass and a lot of drama had occurred so I don't recall being in much contact with them.
Step daughter ate a lot of xanax one night and attempted to commit suicide by jumping off of a bridge, she survived 'luckily'.
There is a news article to correlate some this next part but i won't post it to avoid drama.
Whilst in the ICU recovering from said suicide attempt, the person had told myself and other people (some family) that 'so and so' had been drugging her for years and quite often she woke up (FROM BEING DRUGGED) with him on top of her thrashing away like the pig he is.
He was arrested in a heroin bust as was a semi-large dealer, alongside his 'brother' who was actually convicted and sentenced for tampering with his around 10 y/o daughters friend, this whole family was just creepy but the extent of how i knew them wasn't by choice - really touchy to elaborate.
The two men were never brothers but wards of the state and met in a boys home together, i dare say tampered with themselves.
The step father being the real 'bread winner' he convinced HER MOTHER that he was just in love with step daughter and meant her no harm, the mother being the drug addict PIG she is clearly took whatever cash and heroin was handed to her and the situation just died in the ass, no police, no arrest, no nothing - she was 25ish by the time this all came to light to MY knowledge. Not only did she not press charges, she supported that clown through his entire 3-4 year prison term for the heroin trafficking charges and now lives in a unit he pays for, WITH HER MOTHER.
I left that side of Melbourne they lived on well over a decade ago, thinking good riddance.
They now live 5 minutes away and I see them constantly but can't look any single one of them in the eye.
The story is super tragic and there's a lot to it, including how i was involved with them and it sucks but yeah, top step dad right there.
Hope it's not too confusing but it is true and super fucked up.

It’s a good wake up call for others to learn from. I’m glad she’s told it. Hopefully it’ll make others more aware of the possibility and sometimes, in horrible situations, all you can do is find the dark sense of humour about it. Pretty sick that you judge her for it but don’t judge the fact that there are literally men who do this on the daily basis, around the world.

The creepiest thing that my step dad has done was when I was in the shower and my friends from my street came to play with me and I was like 7 or 8 at the time he pushed them to the bathroom and opened the door and told them to tell me to get out of the shower and I felt really gross not because of my friends being there but the fact that my step dad did that when I was like 7 or 8.
