Though both Beta & Aurora said not to worry about it, they didn't explain much since they don't want to reveal secrets that Claire might spurt out in public. With lack of sufficient explanation, Claire can't help but worry, though she ended up thinking she's special and not possessed due to Aurora's presence. In all this, Zeta doesn't do anything to contribute to her belief that she's gonna die or she's a possessed. As I understand it, she just makes Aurora's presence within Claire stronger to revive Diabolos. And this plan of Zeta's only happened after Claire is thinking she's special rather than worrying about being possessed. Additionally, as for this beach event, my guess for the timeline is it's either after the Sherry arc or Jimina arc, likely the former, cause these are the two times Cid has a school holiday before Claire concerns herself with the mark on her left hand (Vampire arc).

Yeah, the timeline is a bit jumbled huh. I'd imagine this happening either sometime after Sherry arc or Jimina arc, likely the former, cause those are the times when Cid had school holidays. Claire's bad impression of Alexia started shortly after Alexia kidnapping arc due to Cid's heartbroken act in "My Brother, The Man" video so this beach story happens after the bad impression. Even if this day was just a temporary truce, for Claire to still have that bad impression Alexia in vol 5, my only guess is... something (yet to be revealed) happened again that soured her impression. My guess for this is perhaps one time, due to various things, Claire sees Alexia as taking Cid away from her lol. Edit: or Claire just being obstinate again with Alexia and wary of any princess near Cid considering the stuff with Rose haha (Claire knows Rose is close to Cid and since Rose, to the public's eye, gone mad, would've thought Cid as heartbroken again by another princess) Sorry for replying to an old comment btw

Hes pretty much Autistic, I like how the Author uses him to drive the plot then focuses on the others trying to interpret his awkward actions, The majority of them being so smart they can justify even stupid actions.
You can just think of it as Shadow Garden & Seven Shades being the actual MC of the series and Shadow a convenient plot device then. Don't bother focusing on Cid too much. Shadow is their hidden cheat kinda deal. Imo it makes feeling the coolness in this series way better that way lol.
Alexia is the best friend Claire could have ever asked for, caring, intelligent and earnest. That was such a heartfelt moment.
