I saw this line-up and Dennis for the first time live in 1996. My life was never the same after that. For a drummer to be unexpectedly exposed to this particular solo of Dennis (without knowing who Dennis was before) - it was like been struck by a bolt from the sky! When I watch this now I must admit I feel tears in my eyes. I am so grateful to have had the chance to witness a moment of genius.
it was july 1st 1995,i was there! the sound in the antic theatre was FABULOUS,one of the best concert i never saw. in second part there was paco de lucia septet..great souvenir
As we called it in the U.S. in early 1995..."The blow every one's s*** away tour"!! John is clearly pleased with what is going on during this #er.I was lucky enough to have a great seat in Minneapolis.Thank You John,Dennis, and Joey!!!!
i was here!incredible trio,i can remember great energy and sound in this theatre there was this night man! chambers, defrancesco at the top of they shape!paroxysm was when chambers played his polyrythmic asymetric 5/4 solo!great souvenir!
@pulsating123 Not sure if it's random. Some stuff may seem random but some of them are extremely advanced with their knowledge. At levels most people and usually some of the guys that play with them cannot fully understand. It's easy to call that noodling but analyse it and you'll find out it's not noodling at all… This doesn't mean that there aren't guys that really noodle though…

Ridiculously good solo,

Drum solos make me cringe
