12” balloons last under normal conditions between 70-75 Fahrenheit 12 hours. Which is plenty of time. 9” ones get about 5-7 hours just as the box stated. Using hi-float usually gets you a week of float time for 12” & 5 days for 9”. But now days balloon time really cheaper out on helium (I own a balloon shop). Crunch the numbers with several test balloons. The new tanks claim 80% helium 20% air at least. So I was like okay still a decent value for portable tank instead of renting one. But reality is you are only getting 60% helium 40% air. Like damn at that point save yourself the trouble and only sell me 60% of pure helium then I can add my own air.

I've had 11 inch latex balloons last up to 2 months with hi float. crazy! And I had some larger ones that lasted almost 3. That bottle of hi float from the party store is a pain in the fanny because the pump always gets clogged and the little plastic thingy always comes off. I bought a 96 oz bottle at our balloon/carnival supply warehouse and it has a much different pump. I've noticed that even with hi float and in air conditioning, the balloons still only last a couple days in hot humid weather. Annoying!!!!! Especially since my birthday is relatively close to summer. Once we were bringing some treated balloons to my grandmother in the hospital after her surgery and it was pretty warm out and the balloons were a bit overinflated and one exploded in the van and got hi float everywhere. lol.
