I don't begrudge a (primarily) SM64 runner coming to the conclusion that TetrisGYM records aren't "real", taking into account how the SM64 community ended up resolving its own historical N64 vs VC debate and how that might color their viewpoint on the topic. But I think it's a lot less clear-cut without coming from that cultural background. When a category becomes too awful to play for WRs (e.g. the YEARS where Any% Wind Waker was dead because of zombie fairy hovers) you find a new category. Switching to playing on a patched rerelease is maybe not a purist's answer to the question, but in theory, it's as valid as any other.
45:32 imagine that every lvl is a harder tournament with a bit bigger prize pool. Tetrises is 3k early but if you start at lvl 19 they are worth much more. I think, if you start at lvl 19 you will still have too clear as many lines as if you where starting at lvl 1 too get too lvl 20.

There's no "transformation" going on, it's a direct copy. Once you've watched it on Simply's channel there's no reason to watch the original, it's a lazy reupload of a video that took hundreds of hours to create. Simply's a talented guy, he can make his own content.
