    Cole The Cornstar, aka Cole, is a 4th generation family farmer from Central Iowa who is the life force behind his family’s 1,700 acre farm. Cole promotes agriculture by filming his day-to-day adventures with his Dad (Daddy Cornstar) and brother (Cooper) on the farm. With a lot of help from Daddy Cornstar, Cole instills humor and education into his videos fit for both young adults and adults. Despite being 22-years old, Cole has an old-fashion work ethic with an innovative approach toward agricultural technology and practices. Cole's mission is to prove the American Dream is not dead and be a megaphone for agricultural education and innovation, from technological advances in farming equipment to conservation practices.

    Yes, those old pine trees can be trouble. not only do they drip sap, they produce the thick, sticky pollen in the spring. Loads of it fly off the branches, and it sticks to everything. Not to mention when they get so tall and start to die, the branches falling can destroy cars, and be a hazard to anybody standing under. It was amazing watching Ron use the dozer to pick up and perfectly place huge trees like that. Truly a talent. 👍 Hi Cole! 🇺🇸

  • @RealJustinCrow
    @RealJustinCrow 4 ปีที่แล้ว +370

    You should add a few new trees. not a lot, 5-10 maybe, just a symbol of the new start. The house is now yours for the next 80 years, you can watch the trees grow with you during your time in the house.... and then one day your grandson will rip them out and plant new ones lol

    • @ralfus37
      @ralfus37 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Cole, be sure and don't work too hard, then you can watch your Grandsons tear out the trees with their wind-powered excavator and the solar powered dozer. Be sure and save those sunglasses, soon there will be no plastics, they will be outlawed.

    Ron is no joke. He knows what he is doing. He also has great equipment. You can't beat Cat. It actually looks like you have decent soil out there. I always thought that Iowa had crap soil. Always hate to see mature trees get taken down. I can't tell what kind they are. Trees have a limited life span, just as people do. Hardwoods tend to be longer lived. Another great video Cole.

    I totally enjoy this site. Just found it a week ago so I'm slowly catching up. My farm house is 104 yrs old. You can't imagine the things you will find in the walls. Lol. Had to tear the barn down (powder post beetles) House has trees from here. Some boards still have bark on backside.

      @@dlodge4966 We heated exclusively with wood for nearly 40 years. We'd order loads of logs every year and we'd burn a mix of pine, fir and alder. Pine burns very well, hot and a decent burn time. All firewood needs to be as dry as possible or it doesn't burn as well and is difficult to start burning. If you do burn a lot a pine and fir you need to have your chimney swept more often because of creosote buildup.
