    In this video Aitor gives us a tour of the Choptima Rebreather from the Dive Ninja Expeditions classroom in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He covers these questions:
    What is a rebreather?
    What kind of gases can you use?
    How does it affect decompression limits?
    What’s the weight difference of CCR system versus normal open circuit systems?
    Do you need a special dive computer?
    What kind of BCD do you need?

    Choptima diver here. I love love love mine. Hours underwater, no bubbles, efficient shorter deco. And you can use it with your current BM or SM setup. It’s amazing

    Very interesting. A lot went over my head because I'm a hands on learner but I enjoy learning about different types of diving.

    Whoa! I understood only about 1/2 of that. Lots of people up here in the PNW dive rebreathers. I haven’t ventured there yet. Great info, as usual!

    Great video. When do you do your checklist, the day of diving or the night before?

    • @AzulUnlimited
      @AzulUnlimited  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe he normally does it the day of diving.

    Very informative video, Hector is great. Where are you and Hector located? I thought he was in Indonesia. Oh like you I certainly can't afford a rebreather (at the moment) but my local dive shop will be getting the KISS Sidekick for demo. I'm all in with that. 😁

      That’s Aitor, he’s working at dive ninja expeditions in Cabo San Lucas. Would love to hear about that demo!

      Great video, very informative. Probably will never have a rebreather, but it’s cool learning about them. Aitor is right, the mouthpiece and dual hose does look super bad ass!

      @@scottroberson3650 Yeah, I'm not sold on it either, but I haven't closed the door, that's for sure!

    Interesting! I wonder if you can "recharge" the CO2 scubber material by baking it and driving off CO2? It will release CO2 at around 500-600C. Perhaps it may mess up the structure of the granules if they are held together by a polymer?

      Oooo i have no idea!

    • @psychobl15
      @psychobl15 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It won't. There is a chemical exothermic reaction that occurs that uses water and creates water as a byproduct. It actually warms up quite a bit. The decomposition / recharge requires another chemical and then separation. They actually provide how it works on their data sheet. See the section How It Works.
