I have the same texture of hair, such a beautiful result! I've never seen this foil method but assuming the foil allow for deeper heat penetration for a more define curl?
Hope Jackson yes maam the tin foil which is color foil plays as a heat conductor and cuts your dryer time down. the tin foil also adds Texture so if you are transitioning out of a relaxer this is a excellent styling technique.

Loved the video except the detangling. It's always easier to section natural hair with your fingers and even easier with gloves. I'm thinking those precut aluminum foil packets would be great for this.
Is it me ..the hair look frizzy and dry however the foil is very strong I'm not understanding the purpose of the foil the Flexi-Rod itself is soft and has a coating on it to help with the hair in terms of shine and softness that's why the Flexi-Rod is soft and it can bend if he eliminates the foil and she will probably have her shine
Her hair turned out very gorgeous! I love how much body her curls had and that the stylist didn't go over board on the edge control! Yesss!

TheMsbells foil rods gives a slightly different look, more texture. And cuts the drying time down.
