That's a good idea. I get calls, but no notifications. Not texts or notices. And I set my phone to, do not disturb, for much of my morning to ignore my calls. I will try grayscale.
I agree with the turn of ur notifications idea... I have been doing it for years... But i would suggest keeping ur notifications for calls & messages (important ones) on... Usually what happens is that during an emergency, a person calls u instead of texting u... Also dont tell others tht u have turned ur notifications for messages off cuz they'll just call u😅
Great video, have just completed implementing this. There is a downtime section in the iPhone that allows for apps to be “timed out” during productivity hours. Really helped me
My guilty pleasure is Google 😂 I'm always curious and wondering, so I use Google to get my answers 😂lol The 2 things that have helped me are keeping my phone on the other side of the room & turning off all notifications other than calls. I do use it for an hour each night as I settle down & watch TV.
Grey Scale is the sh*t. Pattern interrupt on home screen was also new, Kill Notifications .... "that's dangerous" but ...,, Social media phone = $$ great idea, but I'll pass. Everything else I put in place before the end of the video. Great content. Subscribed.
hey Anthony, back when I was 16-17 I was the type of student who can learn/revise a chapter in 1 hour & now I'm 19 & it literally took me 3 days to revise a chapter which I already learned before & the thing is I'm not even distracted by social media ,I can study/work for 18hrs a day (I'm even doing it) but the thing is I just keep repeating the same things, reading the same page again & again & again even plz help i even took a year drop for some exam bs ,I'm already 1 year behind then my peers it's so frustrating, i was never like this ,I even stopped mastur****** & it's been 1year & I haven't even scrolled on yt/insta literally that's my discipline/self control but I lack attention/focus plz suggest something....will meditation help ? Which one ? open eye mediation or focusing on breath ? If I can work 18hrs then I'm not lazy for sure I just need my attention/focus back 🙏🙏
omg totally just turned it on greyscale. Where did you learn this?! good job. omg messages I 280 notifications - some from my deceased sister in there and my deceased Aunt. Omg. totally “ignored” messages for the last 6 years.
Anybody else find grey scale straining on the eyes? Do you get used to it? Using it for a minute even I noticed something and now five minutes I feel like my eyes are strained. Edit: I am also noticing how much I rely on color to find things like apps or differentiate different pieces of information on apps to navigate. This is wild. 😳
The eye strain is probably due to the fact that you actually have to look closely and with intention to find what you're looking for... the color screen has "lazified" the brain by making it easy to find things. But that easy findability is what makes it so addictive.
My laptop is my phone actually. It's more problematic since it's both my working device and my entertainment device. I think I might try the greyscale thing on my laptop and only turn it off when I'm working or watching something that requires colors like a movie.
That's an interesting idea. To manage my computer usage, I use chrome extensions like News Feed Eradicator and StayFocusd to minimize the likelihood of going to social sites outside of particular times.
@@AnthonyVicino I'm not a victim of doom scrolling but watch long form videos on my PC usually. They are educational mostly but it keeps me distracted from things that matter for a loooong time. I also tried using sites like StayFocused but it didn't work. I just installed One Sec rn to maybe prevent myself from opening YT out of habit.
I was gonna ask about that: I guess that I'm fine with all these stuff, and PLUS I'm at my cellphone detoxing era, so I guess that maybe that's why it's even more fine now? Then I just wonder that: Then what about when the time that you watch porn and jerm off? That you CAN'T accept to watch a black and white porn, right? Then you mentioned the social media phone, so I guess that you watch porn with your social media phone, right? (There's NO WAY that you don't watch porn, right?) And btw, so if you/we ONLY use phone for utilities, then why do we need to buy a high-end phone? We can just use a low-end one, and that's enough, right? (But they look pretty ugly... so.... but I guess that that can be a good thing to STOP using if NOT necessary?) Edit: So what about how to stop wasting SOOOOO MUCH TIME on searching porn? And also, what if I just CAN'T find a subscription that produce a specific kinda porn that I enjoy? I mean, I've saved like 60 of them already, but I still wanna see something newer and better, you know? So what do I do about that? And also, I LOVE music SOOOOO MUCH that I wanna become a singer/producer. You said phones should JUST be your tool or whatever, but you don't use it to watch singers perform live on TV shows that they posted on TH-cam? And also, TH-cam is just like double edge sword for me, I guess? But what about when I wanna learn things about producing music from it or just wanna see anything that is educational? Isn't that just REALLY PAINFUL to learn? And I've already have a REALLY SERIOUS procrastinate issue. Wouldn't that just make it worse? Or I can just turn the gray scale mode off when I'm doing those things?

Smartphone is a double edged sword. Some use it productively. Most get used by it. Attention is currency.
Nailed it.
Just don't install the wrong apps and turn down notifications.
That definitely helps.

Lol, true

Great little feature. HIghly recommended.

I've been loving Perplexity recently. Have you tried that?
Thank you man
Happy to help
Tech has ruined so many people's lives.
True, but in fairness, it's also helped so many lives.
yeah well it's given me the opportunity to get soooo rich as a producer so I'm not complaining

Love that you were able to implement a couple of the ideas. Welcome aboard!
Love this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
We're obviously a bit biased, but killer video. ;)
Very biased
Couldn't possibly be more biased. lol
Good advice.
Glad you think so!
thank you so much for the video, i really needed some reality check
Glad it was helpful!

Don't worry, we'll swap back if this one underperforms. :)
The last thing you want to do
When you are bored is open your phone
Your boredum has a reason
And being overstimulated by your phone is just cope
Truth
Social media phone…. Brilliant.
Simple, but surprisingly effective.
I usually use search to find the app I need anyway so don’t even have them on the screen
That's a great idea. I end up doing the same now that I think about it.

Hey Anthony,
I just have found a TikTok account and I wonder if it’s you. Do you use TikTok?
We haven't posted to TikTok in over a year, so if you found an account and their posting new stuff, it's not me.
@@AnthonyVicino no there’s no posts since may 2023 I guess. Are going to activate it
Seems social phone can be an iPad 🤔

Sounds like you might have a bit of a porn problem, brother. :)
the moment anyone says "See" at the begging of a sentence i have to click away because it reminds me of iman ghadzi snakesoil cringe
Peculiar reason to click off (and leave a comment), but you do you.
…By practicing posing for thumbnails?
Lol, I don't understand the complaint.
Posing isn't an addiction
