Netherrealm DID do it. Back when they were still Midway. WB told them that the DC heroes could not kill. And even the characters that could do fatalities, they weren't allowed to be gorey. It was never going to be any other way.

-Spider-Man hanging you up with a web and strangling you to the death.
-Captain America slicing you in half with his shield.
-Iron Man firing rockets on you.
-Thor electrocuting you with Mjolnir.
-Black Widow poisoning you with grenades.
-Hawkeye throwing explosive arrows at you.
-Daredevil taking off your eyes.
-Wolverine beheading you with his claws
-Black Panther having you tortured by real panthers.
-Hulk smashing you like Loki.

Out of all of these I'd say Green Lantern's was the most brutal
They should make a remake of this game but with mk 11 characters vs injustice 2 characters. More specifically all the good MK characters (including Baraca who follows Kitana, Queen Sheeva, and revenant scorpion) vs all the Regime characters (not include Batman who is under the control of Superman). The fatalities are going to be brutal or at least have some graphics added like how Superman killed Shazam but more detailed and how he killed joker in the comics.
That has to be one of THE dumbest ideas I've ever heard. We don't need to be remaking this shit.

I’m not a doctor, but lemme just for the record study these and give what I think would be the result and requirements to save them:
The Flash’s 1st needs a bunch of bandages and maybe something for his back from hitting his back really hard on stone.
The 2nd will result in head trauma, and a damaged neck.
Superman’s 1st will have severe brain damage.
Superman’s 2nd gives them frostbite, and a damaged rib cage.
Batman’s 1st will require loads of bandages, but could kill if the bats are infectious.
Batman’s 2nd will require some surgery in the neck
Wonder Woman’s 1st would be resulting in a neck injury like Batman, the Flash, etc.
Her 2nd will result in severe dizziness
Shazam’s 1st is first going to need burn treatment for the lightning strike, and some surgery in the rib cage bc of those damages
Shazam’s 2nd results in head trauma from hitting a hard ground with a lot of pressure.
Both of Green Lantern’s will instantly kill you. No questions asked
