@beavertown2006 bigger - A380 is powered by either the Rolls Royce Trent 900 or the Engine Alliance GP7200 (Air France's choice). Both engines are larger and more powerful than those fitted to the 777.
@zeroturbulence On the previous texture, Air France was in two words. But since they created the new texture (the one we can see on this video), looks like they decided to write Airfrance in one word.
@mikoriad Ah yes you are right, I stand corrected. Except that worth noting is that the GE90-115B has a maximum thrust of 115,000lb, not 150,000lb as you stated. But that's nitpicking. Thanks for putting me right on that one.
@tjf4375 Yes SIr you are correct, I had a typo in there. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm biased towards Boeing but I definitely appreciate the efforts Airbus has made over the years fighting Boeing. It's done nothing but make air travel safer and more enjoyable with so many exciting new aircraft to fly in. Actually on a sidenote I think A330 is one of the most graceful aircraft in the sky, particularly durring landing. I also cannot wait to one day take a trip in the A380!
@tjf4375 Actually the 777 GE90-115B is the largest and most powerful jet engine in the world. GE90-115B Fan Dia: 135" Length: 287" Thrust: rated at 150,000 lbs GP7200 Fan Dia: 124" Length: 168" Thrust: rated at 81,500 lbs
Thanks. I looked it up just now: en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Engine_Alliance "The Engine Alliance is a 50/50 joint venture between General Electric and Pratt & Whitney formed in August 1996 to develop, manufacture, sell, and support a family of modern technology aircraft engines for new high-capacity, long-range aircraft."
@mikoriad Well said sir! Funnily enough, Air France have been kind enough to use their A380 on the Heathrow-Paris route this Summer, so that people can get the opportunity to experience A380 without flying hundreds of miles! I managed to book a return weekend trip to Paris for £79 all inclusive, which I think is absolutely amazing and I can't wait! Take a look at their website for details if you fancy an A380 ride!
@pborosan Don't worry, your flight will be done with our A380/800! These last days, several flights have been done with a B777/300 because of many reasons but your flight will be done with an Airbus 380
@stevengornitzky @emyr95 6 is CDG-JFK and AF 7 is JFK-CDG I booked a flight for the AF 7 for Dec 16. I hope I can fly the A380... I checked it on flightstats and recently they have been operating 777s instead :S Does anyone know why?

3:31 What does the symbol on the engine cowl mean?
Is the size of engine bigger or smaller than the engine of B777?
