Slovenia is a true wonderworld! 🇸🇮 We hesitated big time, wondering if we should spend the money on visiting Predjama Castle and Postojna Cave, but I’m SO glad we chose to go! 🏰 It was worth every single penny! If you find yourself in Slovenia, you definitely can’t miss out on exploring these two places. 😁 Next Saturday, we’ll be taking you to the most famous outdoor spot in all of Slovenia- LAKE BLED! So, get ready for an ambient and exciting nature vlog, full of good food and stunning shots of the great outdoors!!! ⛰ 🐉 The tour we used to visit Predjama Castle and Postojna Cave: bit.ly/44iRmBq
I'm really glad you liked it! But you've just scratched the surface. There are a lot of hidden, not so obvious gems there. And a lot of stories connected to them. If you decide to come back, just let me know.
Talk to locals.....you must talk to them... They can tell you about hiden gems and for fraction of money....!! Slovenians are open just ask...and most can speak english
I loved Ljubljana and doing the many day trips. I too went to the cave and castle. Lake Bled and Vintgar Gorge. As a solo traveler I felt safe and the people wonderful.
Welcome to our tiny country. One remark though ... that potica you two were eating and were obviously very fond of :) is more like a souvenir thingy kinda, that's why they are so tiny ... the real potica is a few times bigger and probably even more delicious. So, I suggest, the next time you'll come to visit us, find the "real one" ... I'm glad you've enjoyed your time here, and you are welcome to come here anytime again
@@francisang1258 according to some tests, the cheapest and the closest mass produced you will get, while also additive free, will be the one made by Mercator (chain of markets on every other corner), though homemade ones can be even better and would be preferred, assuming you can find a good one. If you're a hiker, there's a good chance you will find a tasty one in one of the hiking huts, but as with anything, the quality of these, just like in the restaursnts, can vary significantly. Apparently they also bake and serve them on the Bled island itself, so if you plan to visit, that's another place one can try it. The wallnut one is the typical one and the only one referred to as only "potica" without having to mention the filling, as when no filling is mentioned, wallnut is generally implied. It is also pronounced poh-tits-ah / poh-tee-tsa, as the C in the name sounds like "ts" and not "k" as they mispronounce it in the video. www.blejskiotok.si/en/poticnica-2/
I can’t get over how long Claire’s hair has gotten! Time flies. Love the shots from in the cave, that was so cool. Definitely will be looking up a few of these foods, they look delicious.
Whenever you guys upload videos, you genuinely make me feel happy. Both of you are like one of the most gracious, humble, kind, genuine, beautiful, fun-loving, light-hearted, and optimistic people in the world 🌏. I love your style, positivity, humility, and kindness. I would truly love to be friends with you, because you are my kind of people. From the bottom of my heart, I love you so much and keep exploring new countries around the world.♥️♥️😍😍💖💖😇😇
Loved your series in Slovenia. Today’s was outstanding!! The choice of the upbeat music for this magical town was spot on. I could eat that barley soup (at least an vegan version of it) and a baguette every day! Thank you for your video’s.
Wow! You two go places that most travelers are not going. The cave is wonderful. Thanks for discovering and sharing new corners and niches of the world. Again, you guys are absolutely marvelous.
Did you know, Slovenia is one of the youngest country in Europe. It was used to be part of Yugoslavia along with Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro etc. Slovenia gained it's independence in 1991.
Legend says, that this castle prejamski grad, was inpenetrable, but the the servant put a light in the toilet when the owner was there. So the enemy knew what and where to target, and thats how the ownership changed
Hope you heard the story or should i say legend about Erazem, he was kinda real living Robin Hood of these ends. Tnx for visiting and come again for some potica
Wow! What an amazing castle, and I just love the look of the city! I haven’t been to Europe (other than multiple times to Finland because it’s my heritage) but I am definitely putting this onto my list. Btw, great music on this vlog… especially as you were riding the carts into the caves.
I loved Ljubljana! And it is such a fun name to say...after I finally figured it out LOL. I had an Airbnb on market square in November 2018. Chad has a definite penchant for small trains in enclosed places: Hallstatt and now Postojna! Speaking of castle life while under siege, have either of you read the YA book: A Door in the Wall by Marguerite De Angeli? Both my son and I loved it so much that we read it 2x while he was growing up. Oh! The dragons on the manhole covers! I also took photos of those. Here be dragons LOL
Think parts of this were shown in last clip...this is showing additional video? So glad you did the cave...God knows I'd never do it now. Keep traveling...those are memories you will have to the end! Cheers from Wisconsin 🍺 😊
Going to Piran / Portoroz / seaside would make more sense as Postojna is on the way (westward), while Bled is northward and you would have to pretty much pass Ljubljana again in order to get there. You could still do it in one day easy, but it would not be a continuation of the trip, rather a restart. Then overnight stay in Piran and boat ride to Venice in the morning for a day trip. I think it's awesome if the budget allows, though extremely crowded (Venice) in the summer peak. The boat ride itself is a nice way to go there and much prefered to a bus, but also more expensive...
Loving your videos guys! Just wondering what dates you were there please? Also, was your cave and castle tour a full day or half day one please? Cheers from Australia

Lovely video. You two are a very nice couple. Best wishes from sLOVenia.
By far the best cave I've ever seen thanks
Do you think it’s possible to do cave tour and see castle in 2.5 hours? We are on a tight schedule and would love to see both
That’s pretty tight, I think the tour we did it with was as fast as you can get with doing both. (5 hours including transportation)

Can you tell me the month that you visited since its raining and which time is the best to visit?
From May to September
Summer for the longest days, vivid colors and nice blue skies.
Ok you've convinced me to go to Slovenia 😂
Just wait for next week! 😁🥳🥹
Cviček sta pila 💪🍷
thanks for the very nice video of my country 10/10
Loving your videos guys! Just wondering what dates you were there please? Also, was your cave and castle tour a full day or half day one please? Cheers from Australia
Half day
❤the cat drinking water off the wall 😊
Nice
The cave is amazing, I wonder is that man made structures?
It’s definitely a mix! The lighting was our favorite part!
Nope, it's natural. The castle was build in front and into this giant cave. Predjamski grad literally translates to Forecave castle.
Have you been to Mammoth Caves in KY? They are very cool. 😊
Ajm from her
omg the witcher season 3 geralt was fighting the monster here in this castle as i read on google it was located here
Partialy remodeled Predjama castle is in episode 2.
if you come on the right day, you will see knights walking around Predjama Castle
I live in slovenija 😂
East Europe will be sarcastic
I visited the Postojna caves in 1967. I was 11. Fantastic caves but i didnt like the food in Yugoslavia. Better food in Italy.
I have a feeling that he is paying everything
