Dude solid video! Now those little matrix minis are fire! I through those at night sometimes when I’m out fishing lights at night! Caught some of my biggest trout on tiny crappie lures!!
DUDE YES! I failed to mention this part but we like to whip them out right when the hatching begins. A perfect way to match the hatch when thousands of little minnows flood the grass lines.
I agree! We’ve been slamming them on 1.5 or smaller paddletails or flukes bc of all the tiny shad and other fry in the water!

Great video y'all! Really high production value! Hoping to crack my first oversized trout this year. I'm at 24.5 as my PB right now. Hey what kind of measuring board was that?
Thanks for the kind words Mesquite, and yes you can definitely beat your 24.5 this year! Wait till winter rolls around and you feel comfortable. Find some of that trout structure we discussed on Part 1. Ironically the tournament had us use one of our buddies boards! Search (Yackfish Pro Gear) and no that's not a typo on Yack lol. You should be able to find some links.

Hey there I'm a fellow Texas. A buddy and I are going to be in the Port A area in October. Where would you recommend taking the Kayaks out?
So many great areas just off the 361 cosway. October should have plenty of redfish both north and south of the cosway. Good launch points just north of the South Bay Marina, and looking south towards the platform (offshore rig) construction. Those flats produce very well in October.
Also if you need a guide. Look up my good friends on that area. Hector Rios or Dean Thomas

Latitude26 none of the trout died, and the ones on a stringer are only 22 ish inches. Winter releasing vs summer releasing is night and day. You can get away with a little more handling in the winter. Summer time....handle them in the net.
