i don't need to do research because i don't run wired in my house. i get peak 5GHz speeds no problem on my consoles and PC (which my motherboard has support for both AC and AD connections). in fact, i get exceeded speeds compared to what i'm normally supposed to get. Routers have come a very long way where wireless is equal to the performance of wired.

In case you did not know... You can use a PS4 controller to play Xbox games on your PC... When I had a friend come over, we played Gears of War 4 (Xbox game) on my PC and he used the PS4 controller and I used the XboxOne controller and we played split screen on the big screen TV. It was a lot of fun.
