At 34:00 Ya don't want a sprayer !! You'll need a bunny suite and a complete vent full face mask pulling in the air from outside with a one way check valve and exhaling off a separate small vent. Better off grabbing a paint brush once in a wile or a rattle can for a small touch up here and there. By the way I think you've done a bang up job . That has that Battle ship grey "Desert Warrior" look about it. You'll look like Homeland security going down the road. You had me worried a year ago but I'm convinced your going to button that project up and be the bane of all RVr's jealousies.
Hi Nathan, great progress! 2 suggestions.. 1) on your door seals.. The top, bottom & vertical latch side seals, okay. However on the hinge side, instead of attaching the foam between the stop plate & square tubing on the door, I suggest you transfer the foam over to being between the two vertical square tubes on the door & chassis. That way, closing the door won't tend to pull the foam tape off. 2) The crack in the passenger windshield.. Before the cold weather sets in, if you can get hold of a 1/16" diamond bit and a windshield repair kit, carefully drill a hole through one of the two layers of the glass at a time, at the very very end of the crack. Doing so will rid the glass of the stress risers that exist at the end of the crack & stop the crack from continuing to travel. Then fill the holes with the filler / adhesive / glue supplied in the kit to keep water out & expanding when it freezes. It will not fix the crack, but may prevent you having to replace the window before you can afford it later. To confirm what I'm talking about, take a photo & next time you're in town, drop into a windshield repair business & ask them.. Just a few thoughts.. Best, Dennis
Por 15 is alright, but just use an epoxy primer on the underside and topcoat it with some rustoleum and hardener. An application of rustoleum with a roller will make a thick protective coating.
That scratch-built RV is finally a reality! Congratulations! It's going to have a commanding presence on the road! I realize its been a huge undertaking but you could never have purchased an equivalent vehicle! Most contemporary RVs are just way over priced slapped together piles of junk! Happy motoring!
I sure had my doubts as you tore that motorhome down to the frame but you'll done VERY well putting it back together so far. Look forward to seeing you complete it and take it on the road again..
I was going to tell you I put a little drip edge along the whole side of the RV on both sides so the rain doesn't come down and streak your metal and paint you'll probably just pop ribbit it in just an idea
Awesome work as usual it's really coming together before you know it you will have a awesome rv better than when it was New and just think the RVs today are even built worse than that one and a whole bunch more money than old rusty hell even all the money you put in to this from scratch build you wouldn't even get one of those small tow behinds and they are even more shity built then a motor home you definitely made the right call way to go buddy
Junkyards are a good place to search out weather stripping for the doors. Thinking of the weather stripping off of the rear hatches of suvs, those might be long enough for your doorways. Cheap and available
Not sure what your going to use on your interior walls but I had the exact same rv and I found that the original walls interior and interior ceilings were all 1/8” plywood and I looked at several different locations and finally found it at Menards it had to be special ordered but was fairly cheap too. I had ordered 10 sheets and took less than a week for it to arrive in store. Not sure what insulation your using either but mine had styrofoam insulation throughout comes in 4x8’ sheets just like the plywood does. Just a suggestion I used liquid nails to glue it onto the styrofoam and metal framework .
I have to admit, I was very skeptical that you would be able to pull off a project like this. It really is amazing! You proved yourself with this build, that is for sure! ❤
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but on your paint roller situation, the longer hair rollers are for rougher walls. You should be using shorter hair roller.

That thing is looking good!

Looks great Nate can’t wait for you to start on the interior 😊
Huge step. Thinking. Measuring, cutting, welding, sanding, painting and finally you get to see everything coming together.
Congratulations ✌️
God the second you put those windows on ---- SWEEEEET!!!!

Awesomeness!
I am looking forward to seeing what you're gonna do with the interior.
Such an awesome job! Glad to see the painting done. Let’s go with interior!❤
Very impressive Nate - keep up the great work
Thanks for the video.
"Right now it's like jail. But jail never put a smile on my face like this!" 🤣 So good. This is such awesome progress!! 🤘🇺🇸

Awesome job nate patches looking good and protected for years to come
Really coming better and better everyday. Keep doing your great job still. And you’ll finish soon.

So happy to see you upload 🫡
getting more and more excited the farther you get!
Love the grey color with the black around the windows and door latches. Looks good 😂. Be careful stay safe 😂
Incredible progress Nate, excited for you too. Cheers 👍🏼
Get some dodo matt on the walls and ceilings. Sound deadens the metal dinging
You're kicking ass on the new patches. I know money is tight. What would a proper door latch cost instead of the residential door knob cost.
Patches is waking up! Been with you on this channel since the beginning, so cool to see the journey!
Now some nice insulation and possibly shower wall. Insulation will be a biggie for warmth and sound deadening. Looking good!!

Oh ok thanks!
Hey Nathan I'm starting to like patches take it slow like turtle and the rabbit .😎👌🇺🇸

👍
You sound so enthusiastic you're doing great man!
So we going to see this on the set of the next mad max movie bro?
:D
Lol that would be awesome c:
HOW DID YOU CRACK WINDSHIELD?
Interesting progress
You need some sound deading on metal work otherwise it will be like driving around in a tin can
I'd be working 16 hours a day on that thing until I was moved in and on the road. Get r done.
I've heard more bad things about Por15 than good; read a few good and bad reviews of the product before making up your mind.
Lol best stuff on the market for the price.you have no clue what your talking about.
Reviews mean nothing it's just idiots that didn't use it correctly like always.
What’s the deal with the property you are living on and working on patches? Can you expound on that?
patches is lookin sharp dude!
