Love eriocaulon! Have about 4 different types in my tank. Some can be fussy. How do you always have the most perfect tools!? What is that cup called you used for the aqua soil? And more importantly...what is the pink hose called you use for water changes?
This was a new plant that you taught me about today. Eriocaulon (did I spell that right) feather duster? What a beautiful plant, I'm going to have to do a little more research to learn more about it! That is nice that it doesn't shoot out the runners like the val does...I'm enjoying watching your aquascape coming along. Thank you for sharing your experiences...what's working and what does not.. and what you are doing along the way! It helps me learn as well! For now I like to way the tank looks without the background plants it's very clean and pristine looking, but it's going to be fun to watch it all evolve, especially your new plants as they grow in! With your backdrop tall plants gone, the emphasis is on your island of vegetation in the middle and it looks great. Over all things look great but now I wonder how your new backdrop vegetation will add to the overall appears of the tank. Can't wait to see it fill in. Did you add any snails to the tank to help with the algae growth?
S. resplendens are looking good! the addition of a couple broad-leafed plants would probably help them spawn! You could try a bunch of leaf shapes (including all the val you just pulled) but from what I remember, a friend of mine had the best luck with anubias leaves.
@@RyoWatanabee Variety is the spice of life! If you notice breeding behavior but no fry, you could also try removing the adults and waiting to see if any eggs hatch.
Woah, seeing how you’ve grown from the few tanks you had in Singapore to the set up you have now in Japan is amazing! Just wondering besides the Medaka fish, does Japan have any other fish that’s harder/rarer to get outside of Japan?

Hi Ryo! How many ember tetras are there? I also have 60cm tank with just 10 ember tetras, 4 otocinclus catfish, Red cherry shrimps and black rose shrimps. Should i add more ember tetras so that they can school more? Thanks
Go bonsai little samurai scape a lettuce and plant its cheapish and freely available - try a salad cress and one rock tank add air filter / bubbler what are the greens available in your town , city etc It's a green it knows it will go and come back Make many glass vase varieties and see who would fit that setup best Water scaper : ice start or soda water : its water mate chin up A right baby lettuce tank with left side wood pieces sand and a puffs fish - air filter behind wood Hand fun with fun craft - silicone a tank one day It's 5 pieces of glass done in mass everyday
trust me ur scape is fine I did the exact same thing but I ended up creating a masterpiece I didn't realise until everything cleared up how nice it looked
How do you keep the wood from colouring the water? I boiled mine and all that beforehand and use active carbon but I have to change that every 2 weeks on mine to keep it from going brown
I never boil the wood and never plan to in the future. Takes too much time and I don’t see the point in doing it especially if the wood is big. Just do regular water changes and the water will be clear.
@@RyoWatanabee i only boiled it this time cos I wanted it to sink at the start cos it was floating. I do 50% weekly but it turns brown after 3 days, not dark brown but just a brown tinge that not as nice as clear
I think you dont have enough CO2 in the water column because I never see plants realise oxygen bubble, probably because not enough co2 and too much nutrients than you get algea 🤔 just my guess

Are declorinating your water on your tank? Or is it okay to put the water without declorinating it?
I use a water filtration system called NA Water. It takes out all the chlorines and chloramines from my tap water

trust me ur scape is fine I did the exact same thing but I ended up creating a masterpiece I didn't realise until everything cleared up how nice it looked

Never boil wood...it keeps releasing tanins afterwards for long time
