    Ho w do you make an effective strike using a roly poly retrieve ?

      Hi David - When pike fishing you don’t use a conventional strike, but a saltwater style strip strike. When using the roly poly you are able to carry out the same style strike even with the rod under your arm.

    Where do you get from 200lb fuorocarbon? The thickest im finding is 1.1 mm

      Hi Andrius, we asked Ben and he said that in this context it is Seaguar he's using, we only go up to 125lb unfortunately on this.

      Just use single strand titanium never kinks, doesn’t get chewed. I’ve used it for years and never had an issue.

      @@jamslockyer yes thats what i usually use in winter, and warmer days i like to use fluorocarbon
