Three main tips to keep in mind:
99% of the people who will buy laptops don't care about the details of the laptop, they want something slim, good looking and i5 or i7 branding, even if it is a U series cup, which is seriously a deal breaker for me.
Buy a laptop with a good screen and nice textures and looks, for that is the most important that the aforementioned non tech savvy people judge a laptop solely by the outside and looks, kinda like judging a book by its cover.
Negotiations are deal savers, as well as free money cuts.
I hope you try these and see a boost in trade and profit, will help and support you through all your videos!

Yeah that's a good point with the looks. If it's looking good, people will buy it. In the past I sold many craptastic laptops with Celerons, slow AMDs etc. surprisingly quick because they looked cool. It's the same why people buy the BMW i8, which is a fancy looking expensive hybrid car with a freaking 3 cylinder engine.

Good point. A lot of people do post all the laptop or PC specs expecting people to investigate their rig in-depth but many people just want to see photos and price more then quality of item.

Amazes me how small this channel is, thus not giving any money by ad sence, but he will still spend money in the crazyest things. Thank you.

Thanks, I do this for fun. I actually get ad sense, but it's only very little. Still helps though.

@@MacintoshMen Did not know of that, I thought that you needed to be much bigger to get ad sense, very nice.

Maybe try it on Macs. I remember around 10 years ago I used to buy random MacBook Pros off eBay for about $700-$900, install a bunch of software on them, and flip them on eBay for $1,500-$1,700 ($800-$1,000 profit). I also sold my personal iMac I bought for $1,200 for $1,800. Yeah, they were THAT in demand, especially when coupled with useful software.
I didn't do that for a long time, stupidly. But in recent times I've been picking up $40-$50 Windows laptops from a electronics recycling shop, mostly all Core 2 Duo machines, install Windows 10 Pro + software, and flip them on eBay for $150-$200. Your average person that needs a laptop badly isn't very tech savvy. They will use whatever works for them if it has a good operating system and software. I often never upgrade the machines and even leave in the HDDs.
I just don't do it really anymore since it consumes up way too much time. Just buy some random $5 tech from the thrift store and flip them for $50-$100 is way more ideal, lol!

That's right, Macs always sell pretty well. There are just not so many around here that I can buy; also my budget was on the low side for this project; I'm sure with more budget you can make more profit. I'm just curious what software you installed on it, stuff like Office, Audacity or so?

That's funny because I did the same thing. Bought a like new gaming latop on OfferUp for $500, then installed Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Sony Vegas into it. Keep in mind it had 500 GB SSD WD Blue and with i5 Intel (2018 model) and like new. So I flipped it for $850 to an olderly.
It works but takes patience for a customer to come by.

Maybe go at it from a bigger and different angle. Make it a real business.
In my neighborhood we have a refurbisment company. They are part of a group that sell, install and sevice all manners of IT equipment in companies, schools and public offices.
Their contracts come with a caveat that when their buyers renew or upgrade their equipment the old stock goes back to them.
They then refurbish the old equipment and resell it from their own real store and their own online store to private consumers and other companies.
When they sell the secondhand equipment a small part of the profits go to the companies that upgraded.
Their refurbishment department actually employs around 10 people who do nothing but fetch old equpment and refurbish it for resale.
Their prices are on the high end of what you would buy it for on "Craigs list" but then they offer a law mandated warranty when they sell seconhand equipment.
I think that is a sounder business idea than spending oodles of time and energy flipping laptops one at a time and getting questionable if any results, but then we all have to start somewhere, right.

For next time, can you get information for sending fees to Turkey? In here tech stuff prices -even used- became really funny expensive. I can say 110 EUR is fantastic, i would buy and sell here like you've done. Thanks for video.

I don't think many people would send stuff to Turkey because of the customs declerations. Maybe you'll be lucky though.

    Laptops depreciate like cars.
