I like how they built their commercial around the enticing opportunity to go to a prehistoric DMV.

I vaguely remember going there as a kid. I also remember it seemed like it took days to get there cuz we were coming from North Van lol. I was 5 when this commercial aired about the same age when I went. 34 now. Nice find!

Fred’s voice in this commercial sounds more like Alan Reed than whoever was voicing him in the 80’s.

Didn't sound like then voice of Fred Henry Corden

@@TheDarkwingj Given this was Canada, it probably was someone local to British Columbia doing the voice.

@@ChristopherSobieniak This. Apparently Flintstones parks were independently operated and simply licensed from Hanna Barbara, so any cost-cutting measures are to be expected.

@@ChristopherSobieniak, still could've gone with Henry, since he was originally from Montreal, Quebec, all the way across Canada!!!

I went here as a kid a couple times. Was fun and the boats were cool too. You could rent bikes to go around the park as well. I think I was like between 6-10 I'm 28 now. Good times. It's closed now but I think they just left it all and abandoned it.

Got to be older than this, because that _is_ the late Alan Reed as Fred! None other!

It's a good impression but it isn't Reed at all.

This guy talks slower than Reed.

Has anyone seeing this ever been to this place? If so, what were your impressions of it at the time you visited? I think I'd have found a great deal of interest in Flinstones Bedrock City had I been able to go.

+MrProphase I was at this location myself as well as one other Bedrock City in Kelowna, BC - both in the 1970s. My memories of it are from when I was a young child, but I recall enjoying it though it was not on the level of a major theme park like Disneyland. There were some enormous dinosaur statues (basically life size) that had been purchased from a nearby dinosaur theme park in the early 1970s that were cool to see, and of course to a child were absolutely colossal. I also remember a raft ride. After losing its Flintstones licensing association in the 1990s it re-opened as a place called Dinotown, and I think was still in business until quite recently.

+OlskoolTV N videos (OlSkooTV) I went to it the year it opened (1974?) & I'm not sure I remember it having boats or other rides, but I do remember the dino statues & some neat slides. I still have old photos of me & my bro & sis there. Altho this sounds primitive (in keeping with the Flintstones theme, LOL), we loved it! It's sad that fun activities have gotten so advanced that our imaginations aren't fun anymore. Luckily my eyes see that my daughters still have a great time using theirs!

***** Thanks! Too much cynicism these days from people over age 38 or so. We must always give everyone a chance to show they think & live properly, no matter what their age. I've seen many wonderful kids 30 years younger than me, and just as many screwballs my age & older

+MrProphase I lived just down the road growing up & went all the time - it was amazing. Unfortunately, the owners divorced years ago, the wife took the rights to the 'Flinstones' name and the husband kept the park. It was rebranded to 'Dusty's Dinotown' and stayed open for another decade, but it ultimately shut down permanently a few years ago. They do have a seasonal attraction in Cultus Lake, but it has nothing to do with the Flinstone's brand.

I was a child when I went with family back in 1990, it was alot of fun back then.... at somepoint it was renamed "Dinotown" in the late 90's [to be honest I think the rights to Hanna Barbara's productions expired and its why it had to be rebranded.]
but that Amusement Park contained alot Childhoods. its a shame that, all thats left there is a few destroyed signs and the remanents of what used to be rides... everything else was taken over by nature or developed in to Housing..
