    In the 80s Lyndall grew proteas on that patch!

      Oh REALLY!? That puts my mind at ease - at least we know we CAN grow something there!

    Great looking property! Th Casuarina trees will come in handy if you ever have fungal problems!

      I also reckon it would be cool to reuse bits of the cut down pine tree in your new cellar door!

      @@wineforthepeople You basically make a giant tea with the Casuarina needle and then dilute it in a bunch of water....and spray! Phillip Jones from Bass Phillip wines uses this technique so he can be biodynamic. Great natural mildew defence!

    Are you planning to use any of the pine in the cellar door? Tabletops or bartops? Would be awesome

      @wineforthepeople  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe - unfortunately it hasn't been cut appropriately for it - and there's much better timber available in Australia.

    What's the plan on the market garden?
    Supply cellar door produce? Or produce for local farmers markets/restaurants?

    • @wineforthepeople
      @wineforthepeople  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not too sure as of yet - we live on-site, although the market garden will supply WAY more than we could possibly use ourselves - we'd definitely use a bunch for cellar door produce, and farmgate sales - but mostly, we want families to visit us and see what food looks like when it grows in the ground...there's not many places in South Australia, that are readily accessible where you can do that. We think it's important - if we don't sell any of the produce, it kinda doesn't bother us.
      Maybe give it to neighbours? Trade for wine?

    Hello! Why the apple trees don’t have foliage?

    • @joshaw
      @joshaw หลายเดือนก่อน

      Leaves not yet shot as just coming out of winter. They loose leaves in winter.
