I love these culture exchanges! Food is so universal yet so different all over the world.
I think you beat Mike with that perfect first (and only) pancake.
That was a masterful flip!
I find it very funny and charming that something that is so normal to me (oats) can be so foreign to you. Then again, a lot of the food I see in your videos is completely new to me!
I'm so happy you and Mr. Mike have made these collab videos an ongoing project. Some great content! The boiled and baked citrus, fat and spice potatoes have been a hit in my kitchen. Thank you!
Delicious! Thank you for another chance to share a little of your life 😊. God bless you.❤.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with your knife skills my friend. Nothing wrong with your cooking skills either. You made it look easy compared to Mike earlier. He incorporated chilli flakes into his which I don’t think I would like. Great video buddy.

Thank You for the video ! This looks delicious ! God Bless you ! 🙏
Looks good. I think you had aneasier time than Mike did by just making one. Thank you for sharng!
Love how you just casually have a coconut ,rare where I live. Beautiful flip.
hi i’m here from atomic shrimp nice video
Very good pancake! The new stove is working well.
And thanks for the well-wishes for California. We're still burning, but we'll get through this.
Edit: No need to apologize for your knife skills. You're doing fine!
Well done! It really turned out well. Big pancakes like this would make a nice dessert torte, maybe with a filling between layers like cream cheese or whipped cream, with cinnamon or some maple syrup.
This is one of my go to "I ain't got no money but want sweets" dishes. I bake it in a toaster oven though.
Nice pancakes I will definitely be giving these a go ❤
i love this content. its really important that recipes are shared far and wide and not forgotten.
Oats are used in cold climates how west africa uses gari and i find that interesting
Yum yum! ❤️
That looks beautiful!!! You cooked it perfectly. I can't wait to try it. Thank you from California (not near any fires, this time)!!!
Those bananas look delicious, I’ve had ripe green bananas before but I haven’t been able to find them since.
Maple syrup makes everything better! I suppose you don't use oats much in Nigeria because it's a crop that grows best in cold areas. As some famous Englishman wrote, oats are fed to horses in England, but people in Scotland.
I'm very fond of oatmeal, but I've never made that recipe. My oatmeal pancakes have a combination of oats (oatmeal) and wheat flour - plus a few other ingredients.
That’s what I would do put all the batter in one pancake. Good one!
As someone from a western country I wondered why Mike was using a spoon with a fork - I would definitely be using a knife and fork for pancakes - if not only the fork.
Wow, that pancake looked seriously good!!
If oatmeal is expensive you can make these with other cereals. Just cook it first, letting it stand until it is very thick. If you make the cereal for another meal you can just make a little extra to have for the pancakes. Oatmeal is a little sweet so you may want to add a little sugar or dried fruit like dates if you have them on hand. Without a little sweetener they might be bland, though as you just said you don’t like sweet things. You can also make them savoury, to use as a base for any topping. Better nutrition than white rice.
😋😋😋😋😋😋
I'm back again .... this morning, we've both watched Atomic Shrimp's version followed by yours and we both agreed you did a better job cooking the pancake. (Don't tell him, lol! 🤣)
@@PlanetZhooZhoo thank you Zoozoo
i remember your channel from mike’s first jollof rice video! glad to see you’re doing well, the pancake looks great!
You're kind and like maple syrup...i think that qualifies you for Canadian citizenship
@@shaynecarter-murray3127 I'd love that.

This is really cool! :D I really enjoyed this (came from the atomic shrimp vid) and I'll defenently watch more of your content in the future!
Nice looking pancake!
The pancake looks delicious. I like them a bit darker like yours, I believe it gives them more flavor. And your knife skills were perfect. 😊
@@adriennetochter6873 thank you 🙏 very much.
This looks really good, can't wait to try it!
This looks yummy!
Yum! I suppose the nearest thing you have to anything with mashed banana in it is Dodo Ikire.
Nice job ! Your pancake sure looks a lot better than Mike his first effort, haha.
I am so happy and glad that you did this video. Thankyou and God Bless you!
Now I'm hungry, and I just happen to have bananas, eggs and oats ...
That looks very delicious!
Just got home from work and watched Mike's version, so here I am for yours as well, lol. Love seeing how each of you adds your own personal touches to a dish to make it your own. Everything I've learned about Nigerian food has come from you, and you sharing your cuisine on these videos, so thank you!
Long time fan it's amazing how your cooking skill has improved 🎉
Old Russin proverb: "The first blini is always a lump" But you nailed it at the first pancake.
interesting to break the eggs with the fork. ive seen similar stuff on asian videos but mostly just for posing. need to test that next time, im allways struggle a bit open/breaking eggs western style tbh.
Yum! Hello from Australia
That looks really yummy!
Another great video Babatunde!
You've made me want to try this myself for breakfast infact.
Your cutlery skills might actually be better than many people I've seen making a mess at the table in the UK!
Great work!
In the UK many people give mashed banana to their babies as a first food :D
in germany too. and not only infants, its common even in grown up foods for example with yoghurt.
This looks delish ! I'll be trying these :D
I spot the coconut. I really hate dealing with them, but I feel that if I could find some way that I could get a coconut open and the flesh free of it, without risking injuring myself (like as in to some extent almost always doing something enough to be off putting). Though I'm not sure, as in Canada (rural on top of Canada) if the coconuts are worth the effort.
❤
Looks good comrade
Sovereign Citizens are so crazy! They get so much and use it but don't pay their part back.
Also, your knife skills were great, I couldn't do any better and I've used one my phone life!
Yeah those sovereign citizens tend not to get very far with their argument. Whilst it sounds like a good concept it just doesn't stand as unfortunately you cannot pick and choose which laws you want to follow.
You made me laugh so hard when you brought up sovereign citizens! I recommend the video by Wendigoon "The dumbest legal defense and conspiracy theory I've ever heard" That video is 40 minutes long and will give you a full history lesson on the origins of the sovereign citizen movement. In short it was a commune of people who dodged paying taxes by filing their taxes as inefficiently as possible overwhelming the bureaucratic process. But obviously the government became wise to their antics so now some of them sell the idea of a loophole in the legal process that either doesn't exist or has since been closed.
Don't you mash banana and plantain to make fufu?
Is that something that people eat where you come from?
These are a B.O.P.
(Banana oat pancake)
That’s so cute!
Well done Babatunde that looked like a great success. As for the people of California I think they will be fine my prayers go out to the people of Gaza going through genocide and ethnic cleansing.
I'm surprised you heard the news about the California wildfires.
