- Today I give my thoughts and breakdown on the first 3 episode of season 4.

As someone apart of the Boys subreddit, it's refreshing to see someone else who actually enjoys this season. Everyone on there is hating on it.
I really like the season, so far I think it'll be better than the 3rd. Also, I like your videos, keep it up 👍

I’m not sure. It feels like they’re running out of things for the boys to do that’s relevant to the plot. Hughie meeting his mom and frenchie having relationship problems feel like soap Oprah stories that have nothing to do with the plot. Speaking of frenchie: they introduced the new supes like Sage and firecracker but we don’t get an introduction to Collin and are just supposed to accept and care for his plot. I don’t care about him because I don’t know who he is!
Yeah it makes me wonder what Collin’s parents did to get assassinated

I agree the Frenchie plotline wasn't introduced in the smoothest way, but I am fairly confident there'll be more revealed about Collin and his family's backstory throughout the season. After all, you don't always have to establish backstory linearly.
Also, bit of a shot in the dark theory here, but this does present an opportunity to tie this plotline to others in the show. Basically, what if Collin's family had ties to Vought/supes or somehow crossed paths with one of the other main characters in a way that implies that Frenchie killing them dramatically changed the course of events or led to something being covered up, perhaps. Point is, there's still a possibility it could be interesting and important to the overall narrative so I'm not going to write it off quite yet.

There ain't really love triangle between Kimiko, Frenchie, and Collin because Kimiko shut him down twice now
I feel like something will happen between Negan and Butcher where one of them might betray each other.

@@Randograph exactly. I have little theory mine that we're going to see a suicide squad style soldier boy spinoff with Kessler being the Amanda Waller type guy.
Starlight is guilty about bullying but isn’t guilty about that guy she killed in Season 2? What a clown

@@Randograph In a better world she would, but the writing in this show isn’t as tight as it was in Season 1 so that guy is never gonna get brought up again. “Soldier Boy is a murderer” Ain’t that the pot calling the kettle black
I think people are too quick to write off the show. This season just started so I have a feeling everything is going to make sense by the end of it all. The series has always had slow starts to each season, especially season 2. Those first two episodes were really slow but it picked up after that so I have hope
Lmao can’t Vought just build a Stronger, Better Homelander? They probably already have Homelanders ‘Genetic Material’ and all the research from the original Homelander Project. Still wouldn’t be Stronger than Ryan considering what Kripke has said. Hell, Ryan isn’t even Human…He’s legit the next big stepping stone in Evolution. Ryan’s the First Supe(r)-Sapien. Kinda surprised the Show isn’t covering that aspect considering it’s common knowledge that Ryan’s the first true natural born Supe.
I understand that Vought wouldn’t risk another Homelander apocalypse and the Aging was probably built in as a Failsafe rather than the stress causing it considering Soldier Boy and Stormfront don’t age/age slowly and Homelander is a league above them with the most and purest form of V (even better than what Soldier boy and Stormfront got injected with).
Season 3 definitely messed with the Power Scaling. Side point, A Fully grown and trained Ryan would definitely be a “Poor Man’s Captain Marvel” in The MCU.
Also Brink from Gen V was probably tryna build a Homelander contingency by dosing Golden Boy with Sam’s Blood and probably more V whilst training him and making him creative with his powers. Golden Boy is the only supe with Homelander type powers and could definitely hold his own considering what Maeve and Butcher could do to Homelander. That Golden Boy Armor was also a Plus Point.
The only reason Brink didn’t use Sam considering he’s stronger than Luke is because Sam’s Crazy and doesn’t have as many powers as Luke. Plus Luke’s the best option.
THe first 3 episodes sucked. After the season 3 finale I had little hope that they could bring it back and after these 3 episodes I now understand that it's iredeemable. I'm hoping that the Gen V characters are just cameos and aren't actually a big part of the season because nobody I know has actually seen it other than me, and it shouldn't be required viewing. Homelander not just killing Butcher at this point is silly, and Hughie being able to "escape" homelander (he got outside before before saved) is just super silly too even if everything in the whole building was made of zinc. Sage is a cool character and probably the only interesting part of this season. It's been 3 episodes and there's still no actual main plot to me. The evolution of Kimiko's powers are cool but I seriously don't care about her, frenchie or MM's backstories. We're in season 4 now let's just leave it. The political messaging is so on the nose this season and it's just generally confusing for somebody who doesn't live in the West.
