    Will you be doing all of Corelli's trio sonatas? They're some of my favorite piece of chamber music!

      I want to, first I'll finish Op. 3 and then I'll do some chamber ones to change the scenery a little.

    What does ‘Violone, e Organo’ mean?

      Violone is a string instrument used during the 16th and 17th centuries that resembled a double bass but had frets like a guitar, and was commonly used for the basso continuo parts. In modern recordings, it is usually replaced by a cello because of its register (like the one in this video). Organo, on the other hand, means organ, which harmonizes the melody of the violone via the figured bass. The numbers at the bottom of the score tell the organ player what chords he must play to accompany the three melodic instruments.
