We tell each other to fly off, express our views, then 5 minutes later it's like nothing ever happened. Neither one of us hold anything back. Usually one of us apologizes, usually him, because he tends to go out in the weeds and yells at me when he is frustrated working on a project and I am always there to help, but now I tend to do "check-ins" to see if he needs anything and try to avoid at all cost, but let him know I am there to assist if he needs it. We go to bed snuggling and thankful each morning we wake up to each other.
Being raised in a family where anger is not allowed and if anger is shown we pay a price and are punished. Sets you up for spousal abuse later in life.
What about if you tell him your angry about something and he does not care or change the behavior. He says I need to change my attitude. Will not discuss the issue. He won't listen to these videos or go to counciling. I think my marriage is over but he thinks it's fine.
You were trusted in second department but you were doubted in fiirst... This works at workplace too. In my first job with startup company, my boss trusted blindly.. so we never felt deceiving him...
Great question. I think that we should do what we can to reassure and comfort and serve our spouse in their spiritual weakness, just like we are in a physical weakness. It should be even stronger support in a spiritual weakness. If your spouse has a physical handicap, aren’t you going to make accommodations and inconvenience yourself in order to meet his or her needs? Why would you not do the same along with prayer and the Holy Spirit in order to try to overcome the anxiety of your spouse, while also praying for God to heal it? When God joins a man and a woman two become one… You’re not your own person but their person. Their problems, spiritual, physical, mental, or also your struggles.
I haven't even watched this video yet but i'm going to write this comment to get it out. My husband is the world's most obnoxious complainer. He complains when there is a time change, he complains about how fast time goes by, he complains about getting older, he complains about other drivers, our son, his coworkers, going to work, bills, money, being tired, etc etc EVERYTHING. He is toxic. I am a woman of God and he has 0 faith. I want out!
Bonnie my husband is 100 times worse than any women. But when I want to voice what irritates me, and not necessarily him, he would get mad at me.. he can't deal with my concerns right now. I'm always complaining.. and yet, he got me to the point to just keep my mouth shut and he didn't care what I say. So I say nothing..and he still accuses me if complaining when i've said absolutely nothing
I live this life. I don't understand any of it. We have had years of counciling, we are both pursuing our faith in God. I find she begins every fight, when this happens, and always escalates and she will not accept an apology. After attempting to repeatedly apologize it always ends in threats. How can I correct what bothers her If it is nor a two way conversation. I am stumped

I see now why the bible doesnt talk alot about marriage....Its so you'll go to God for help....only God knows you and your situation personally!! Nobody else knows!
My problem is one of the biggest thing in this home and marriage he complains a lot about he is the one bringing money in the house but when he go out there create problem loans and he cannot even pay for it our properties been taken away and he cannot even do anything and I'm the one who pay everything I'm the one I created this month I'm the one is under 1 days I am sick and tired of that

What if one spouse has anxiety, and has complaints due their own anxiety? The other spouse doesn't validate the other's anxious thoughts.
