Their new album has all types of genres, so it's really cool to see them feel comfortable branching out on the album. Fan bases can be weird/fickle about that, so it does take some courage to do whatever the band wants on an album.
Yeah I hear ya. My band's second album was quite different from our first and some fans didn't like that but our audience grew a LOT. I think it's about confidence. As a band you should do what you want and let the chips fall where they may :-)
I was so afraid it will be a flop, as usually the 3rd albums are. It is indeed a bit different versus their earlier works but it's so so good and so essentially them. Then the EP Moral Panic II came to complete it. I continue to be amazed by this band.

@@grillburns1573 The first one sounded like something you would hear in a 60's-70's beatnik bar, the second was more of country/truck stop bar scene in a Clint Eastwood or Chuck Norris movie. Both sounded great.

You should check out Morning Parade. They broke up years ago but the singer was a really good vocalist
Check out Marcus King. Either Rita is gone or wildflowers and wine. Very soulful voice fantastic guitar player.

Yes that’s the one I did but lost/failed to record. Loved it, so good. Chorus reminds me of some track that goes ”…low run 500 miles away from home.

I wish it wasn’t the live one. They sound good live but for some reason they played this differently and his voice wasn’t as good. The main video is SO good. SO much better than it was live.
You’re kidding right? They’re always way better live and this is one of their best performances, Conor’s voice was perfect
@@rem672 the live video he watched was no where near as good as the Spotify version, Connors “I’m not made I’m not made by design” in this was no where near as powerful. This live video wasn’t anywhere close to how good it sounds on Spotify.
This definitely wasn’t their best performance or one of their best. I went to their O2 concert in London and every song they played was so good, and Connor was even sick too, yet they played good. I don’t know what’s with this video or how they played it.
