You bet. Traxxas will be really slow offering new bodies for the Bronco chassis IMHO. But it's good these mounts are available separately!!
Wow! Never even thought about this issue. And I came THIS close to buying a 2021 Bronco! I appreciate the postless mounting system, but then again, body posts sure do give a lot more flexibility for various bodies. And seeing as how this hobby is so much about customization... Well, I think I'll just stick to the slight visual disadvantage of body posts and retain the flexibility of having a much larger variety of possibilities.
You can still put body posts on the 2021 bronco. Buy it sell the stock body for $200 and change it to what you want with the body posts which only cost $12. The inserts are already on the shock mounts. That's what I did and was able to buy 3 bodies and some paint for my airbrush when I sold the stock bronco body brand new. You win and whoever buys the body wins by buying it at a discount.
This was VERY helpful! Thank you! I am planning my first 1/10. I'm going to get the TRX-4 builders kit but really like the looks of the Orange body on the TRAXX model. But also want this clipless system. This video answers all the questions that I had about getting it done except the inner fender to accept the hidden clips. But, I got that covered.

Nice... I did something similar but for my 12.3 wb TRX4 and the Proline Raptor. I installed the bronco fenders on the chassis and then glued custom (3d printed) supports on the body instead of the mount frame. Then simply mounted crossbars to the 3d printed supports. Worked great, looks super clean without having to adjust the wheel base or wheel well cutouts.
Looking at doing the same thing with the same body. I'm going to try and use the cage though.
There is only the one set of clipless fenders correct? The narrow ones?
@@matt_mifflin yes... to my knowledge they only make the lipless fenders in narrow.

I have a Dodge RAM Gen 3 from Proline I am doing in a similar way, I have been busy with other projects, but have all the parts.
I love your videos Francis…. This was a pretty cool one. Now I am winding if you can modify and mount the fender wells to fit on other crawler brand chassis’…. To broaden the selection of combos even more!
I guess he should try putting the clipless inner fenders on the Knightrunner chassis.
That would be cool but I doubt it. TRX4 fenders seem heavily shaped with unique mounting spots.

Great video! Saved it weeks ago and already purchased a frame, crossbars and fenders (not sure I need them). Albeit the differences in wheelbase, is it possible to fit old Bronco or Blazer bodies in my 2021 Bronco chassis?

I need this for the Defender. I assumed it can work the same? It's a pain lining it up all the time. I usually scale it out with gear on the top and always have to remove that to access the pins.

They won't do it. Traxxas is so weird about what they release. I have been waiting for so many things that never happened from Traxxas. I do love their products. I buy knowing I'm either going to have to modify it to get what I want or just be happy the way it is.

trx 4 sport bumpers should work with this body if you flip the piece where the bumper connects to the frame upside down.
I bought the clipless inner fenders for my TRX-4 Defender, and I plan to get the unpainted Bronco body when it’s released in April. I’d like to try this on a Vanquish Phoenix body though too.

Awesome video. Being a Toyota guy it was tough buying the bronco but the free winch and locking differentials made it an easy choice. I also own the knightrunner. Hopefully it will fit with the winch. Do you have a link for the bumper mount you mentioned.
It's a 3d printed mount. You would have to look it up.
Do you have any more details about putting that system into a defender chassis ? I'm in the middle of a similar build your doing but I'm worried the magnets I'm gonna use will rip the paint off

I don't think so. The key piece is the TRX4 inner fenders with receiver hole for the mounting. It looks like other TRX4s with inner fenders accept the good ones no problem.

Can you do a different body for the K10 cheyenne? What body can I use so I don't destroy the stock body?
So I understand the spring loaded clips on the Body snap onto the fender wells mounted to the frame. Is that accurate.

like the idea but feel it looks a little off for the chassis. Maybe in person it might apear better.
For a pickup, it's a bit off. More room to put the mounting cage inside when it's got a full cabin.

Im a Follower . But one Solution that you may be able to solve for the New world is How to Install a Traxxas Trx4 light Kit with the Hobbywing Fusion 2 in 1 since the ESC is involved with the Situation ?? that would help a Ton of people out as the Fusion is IMO the best thing my TRX4 got for an Upgrade by far .

What ESC/Motor are you running in your TRX-4? It's seems rather zippy over the others I've seen. Looks like the QuicRun 1080 ESC but I cant make out the motor.

Really cool but I'd rather just get the older bronco/blazer trx, seems like way too much work just to make a body fit. Couple holes n pins don't bother me.
I want to see this bronco clipless chassis on a Defender please.
So I watched this again. In summary you screwed the body mount frame into the truck bed and double sided taped everything else? Did you screw the frame into the bumper? Looking at the Bronco everything is screwed into the hard plastic outside pieces and thats why its so stout. This is going to be difficult with regular lexan body.
Can you add the pedestals to this chassis? The ones from the other trx4 models. Thanks

That a neat idea! I wonder if it would be possible to attach the mount crossbars alone (without the frame) using the adhesive you mentioned.

On a pickup truck like the trx4 sport, one can just shoe goo it. Just set the height right and it should be ok.

Don’t forget you can easily change the wheelbase from 12.8” to 12.3”.

@@RCReviewChannel Traxxas wheelbase conversion kit includes an axle piece and links. It also includes shock towers or fenders but I don’t think you really need those.
Imagine having this across all your different chassis.... Today I want to run the TRX4 Bronco body on a SCX10.3.... 15 seconds later, it is done.

Traxxas left the body post holes so you could mount any body. Just have to order the posts from other trx4 body
Thank you. Great option for our 2021 Bronco. I used the same system to install a Sport body on it. I ditched the inner cage, and used the 3M heavy duty double tape (same as gopro uses) to tape the cross tabs straight to the body. Can't get any lower than that. Trimmed the body as needed. Is the Sport body the same wheelbase?
@@islandboysrc5910 no. It is 0.5" shorter, but I trimmed so much from the both fenders, that it's not noticeable.
Tried this but in my opinion is just not worth it. To much work to just get the body to fit and still it looks weird.
I love the new bronco body but the price an the fact the clip is inside the tyre well covered in mud an crap I'd rather have clips on the top
