Best 7 min. Workbench Top Design for the GARAGE, Fast and Effective

Number 1, BEST DIY Router Sled, simple and quick, easy to make, and made from a 2x4’s and OSB.
I did not build this sled to keep long term.
This sled was built for the sole purpose of flattening a 2x4 workbench top.
If I was building a sled for repeated use and tighter tolerance. I would recommend making it out of hardwoods and MDF.
The OSB I use is scrap and has a thickness little over ½ inch. I was really surprised at how well it did for the span it was covering. There was very little flex in the OSB.
Flex in the sled will create high and low spots on the item you are using the sled on to flatten.
I did expect this sled to some flex in it, so I was ready to do the sanding.
Depending on the reason you need a sled and the span you are covering, you can make it out of inferior material and still accomplish your goal.
As for me, I just do not use a sled enough to justify putting money into a router sled.
