I thoroughly enjoyed watching your creative vision come to life right in front of my 'two' eyes :D I have never seen a glass cabochon so large nor can I find one. Your talent leaves me in amazement! xx
OMG! I went to store and bought polish... Mind you... I'm 51 and haven't worn polish in 51 years! Lol BUT! Thanks to you I painted my first dog looking eye! And then what is similar to a cat eye! Thank you sweetheart! This ol girl is almost there! I love your videos! And you are just so sweet! Happy New Year to you and yours!
Holy crap Von...this is badassery on steroids! I've not been on in a while, and what a video to come back to! This is a stunning piece, I absolutely love it! I hope you and Randy had a wonderful Christmas! Hugs, Christina ~
Wow, thank you! I like to think that this "gift" is in everyone, sometimes you just have to carve it out with practice, practice, and more practice :) I have practiced every day for 10 years, and had much improvement; my early pieces didn't hint at where I would be today, and I am excited to see where more practice takes me :-) You've got this!
You are such an inspiration! I love your videos and I can't wait to see what you're going to do next, I'm never disappointed! Keep up the great crafting and thanks for sharing your creative mind with the world!! Hugs and kisses to you Von from Lee (aka Sweetpeangidget!)
I have had trouble with the painted eye bubbling out of the polymer clay when baking it. The eye was nice and dry before I sculpted it, but i did let it set a couple of days before I got it baked.
Goodness gracious, Von! You are a walking treasure chest of crazy ideas - and a bottomless reservoire of skills to execute them with. :O P.S. If one were to make a little hole in the pupil and hang this on the front door, right over the spy hole. I would spent all day spying on everybody in the stairway - through a giant dragon eye! And in the dark the light from the appartment would shine through the eye. I doubt anybody would ever try to break in, knowint the dragon eye was wathcing. :D :D :D

If it is epoxy resin you use do NOT bake it, UV resin can be cooked, but only some brands, and I’m not sure about glass. You can always use air dry clay as well
Can you bake the polymer clay with the eye in it or would it burn the nailpolish off of the glass cab? I must have missed those directions in this video. THanks for any info. :)
Hey! I bake the eye in with the clay without any problems, but I try to make sure that I bake as soon as possible and that the nail polish is completely cured before smushing it into the polymer clay for sculpting
James Witte I wanted to know that also I have quite a few dragon eyes I've painted was dying to use polymer clay with them but have been afraid it would melt nail polish I hope Von will let us know Or I guess I'll just try it & see what happens 😕
Von, Were did the very big dragon eye? I know you painted it but what is it on? What kind of epoxy will not melt if you paint on it? OH by the way I think I love you. naaaaaaaa your taken
I love everything you do. And I'm not sure what will be done with this (can't tell how big except I assume the eye itself is 50.) I'd be a little afraid of baking since nail polish is flammable and probably the fumes very toxic. I wish you would cook this stuff outside and not suffer later for the fumes. I like your workwomanship here but it feels a little overworked for me. That's why there are so many ways of doing things. There is always something for everyone and while the finished product doesn't have to be my cup of tea, I still learned lot. So, what does happen with this? Wall hanging? Have you done wall hangings with sculpty? (a nice mask with two eyes? Owww...)

Hi Yvonne, I'm mesmerized by your work. Baking the clay doesn't affect or change the nail polish?? Do you bake as instrcted?

Hi, ty for sharing . Awesome piece. So how long u bake that for. Hope u have a very bless an crafty day of it. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Did you do a Skinner blend to get the blue and white gradient for the scales towards the end? They are beautiful.
So we're curious as to what project this was used got or sold for, it's amazing Von
Awesome!! Would you mount it on a canvas with a background painted or poured or just use it as a wall sculpture?
another great video thank you. What is the scale texturing thing called that you pressed into the clay and where did you buy it please. Thanks again.
Love it! Just curious though....do you 'bake' the clay? If so are there any precautions to take with the eye? Thanks. I love your work!!

Wouldn't baking harm the dragon eye ??? ... Love the incorporation of metals ... Especially the spikes and springy thingy ...

Merry Xmas Yvonne :)

How would you do this with leather? I’m doing my best to figure it out
Von, Were did the very big dragon eye? I know you painted it but what is it on? What kind of epoxy will not melt if you paint on it? OH by the way I think I love you. naaaaaaaa your taken
