Characters like Starfire is why IJ2 died. If people in the comments are saying IJ2 is really good compared to MK11, it just shows how much of a bad game MK11 is.
@@redman27r No amount of patches was going to fix the game. IJ2 being so boring was the reason why Sonicfox picked up Dragon Ball or at least played it more than IJ2.
@@redman27r Have you seen the dirty stuff he pulled off with Captain Cold? Compared to Tweedy who just walks back and is carried by Starfire, he's really good.
@@manuelsilva3365 I didn’t say SonicFox wasn’t good, he just wasn’t the best in INJ2, players like Theo, Semij, Rewind and Honeybee could beat SonicFox in a INJ2 tournament and it wouldn’t be a surprise, and none of their best characters were zoners like Tweedy
To piggyback off of Brenton, necros usually stick to old titles even when a newer game from a franchise/dev team comes out. How NRS' cycle works is that they'll release a Mortal Kombat game, then release an Injustice game a couple years later, then the next couple years another MK game, so on and so forth. For example, when most of the pros and a good portion of the playerbase switched over to Injustice 2 from MKX, NinjaKilla stuck with MKX, which made him a necro. The term means that you like to play what people consider "dead" games. Hence the word necro, which is a prefix that means "death". Sorry for the essay, just wanted to give a bit more context.
Just to add, “necro” can also be an insult. It’s not just that you play old games but that you grind them hard and become a top-level player in that game. But then people tend to assume you’re only able to rise to the top bc all the pro players already left. It’s like “yeah he’s good for a necro, but he wouldn’t have stood a chance when the pros were playing.” No offense to the Adam player, but this set really shows off why people say that. Just didn’t want you to think “necro” was a compliment or anything.

Lack of support (DLC and patches) is the biggest reason why INJ2 died, after 1 year NRS was done with the game
