Requiem of Silence. Man that was scene from when she used the last of her life force to free him, getting killed by puck, the red characters. It felt like the bad ending to a story and it really felt like he wasn't gonna respawn for some reason. Or that it was gonna completely start him over some how. If bad ending had a definition it would be this song, its such a powerful song. Then when he respawned with that face full of just absolute shock, and Rem went to comfort him. But after he got over the shock of seeing Rem again after just watching her get tortured in front of his eyes with no way to stop him, then having to watch Rem die in his arms, he put on a happy face for Rem. And for Subaru's sake even though she knew something was wrong, she didn't question him further and gave him a nice smile. Then when they started walking hand in hand and they showed Subaru's face. A face full of absolute pure hatred and disgust for Betelgeuse. The one who had just killed Rem right in front of him with no remorse at all. At this point Subaru was no longer himself. He mind was completely clouded over in an intense rage that could only be extinguished by Rem. This just goes to show how important ep 18 is and the stretch of episodes from 13-21. The fact that she was able to bring him back to the light is incredible. That's what a true love for a person can do. Rem put out every single thing she had for him. She loves him and understands him so much she was able to do things that no other could do. And from there it's history. Look how much Subaru is changing, its incredible how far he has come. I'm not sure how anyone can give Re:Zero anything less than a 10/10. It's truly an incredible series. Unmatched.
sidenote: in the light novel of EP18 she crawled to him and freed him by spitting out the blood that was left in her on subarus handcuffs to freeze the blood and cracking them open with the last spell of her life. i thought thats even a little bit more dramatic
Damn I finished watching Re:Zero during quarantine for the first time, and if there is one thing I’ll take away from this incredible anime, it’s the best soundtrack of all-time.... I completely love everything about this, the fan base too! The characters are truly special and have such an emotional storylines, and to feel sympathetic for the main character, Subaru....I’ll be honest with the relation between him and I share, but I couldn’t stand the idea of him being selfish. But that doesn’t mean he can’t change, which he has taught me the hard way in life, sometimes it’s better to learn how to crawl before walking. Meaning if everything goes by too quickly, what is left to experience in our life. I can’t wait for the newest episodes of season 2. I’ll be back soon and appreciate your guys comments! See ya!

@@DanielMak1234 dude, Gonna be honest, Subaru is my fav character just because of how extremely real he feels- and how his voice actor (Japanese one that is) really brings out the pain in his voice and just captivates the viewer in the tragedy and suffering. Though Rem is literally right next to him / on the same level so don't kill me xD
I will remember you Rem, even if everyone else forgets. This world may one day end in fire; the stars burn out, and darkness claim all, but still, I will love you. Time itself is never long enough for my heart to forget you. ❤
I almost shed some tears after the first two songs and there is Rem smiling, wishing for her feelings to be heard by Subaru... (Well, yeah. She deserves it, being loved that is.)

I have to admit I cant choose as to who is better. Emilia or Rem. Both wonderful characters in their own way and both are unique in the way they act and how they treat other people. It amazes me how this anime can hit right in the feels at times, sure it has its moment where you just want to skip a few minutes due to um... massive breakdown drama of the protagonist and cringe worthy scenes, but other than that the story is amazing, clear, and thorough. The character development is beautiful as a protagonist, who is confused, worried, and probably scared, gets thrown into a situation that he never thought would happen. The way he handles every situation time and time again even after death, even after knowing hes gonna die. This is truly a worthful anime to watch. Cliffhangers being split everywhere constantly keep you wanting more and asking questions. Season 1 just ended out on too high of a note, too high of a cliffhanger and so many question left unanswered almost symbolizing a season 2. I feel if the developer really wanted to, he would have done more. But since most animes have 24-25 epiodes per season, I feel as if its just for continuity. I'm hoping for a season 2 honestly as this has been one of the best animes I have every watched despite its... moments. Definitely worth investing your time into and I don't say that about many. I know this is probably one of those Tl;dr comments but if you did read it then I hope you turn this up one day. I promise you wont regret it.

Imagine Subaru must see how the ones he loves die several times and to undo that he need to die. But if he tries to make a happy end, sometimes he even get killed by the one he is loving. That is truly pain.
FYI Rem and Emilia, Beatrice and Ram deserves it all although i like Rem but when you view every development of the character you'll wish that each one of them is the best promise through 💙💙💙💙

Subaru: “I, no matter what-” But gripping down firm on the warmth of her palm, Subaru- Subaru: “-Will save you.” Facing the unseen, darling girl, that alone does he assert. He isn't speaking to Emilia btw...

@@DanielMak1234 dude, Gonna be honest, Subaru is my fav character just because of how extremely real he feels- and how his voice actor (Japanese one that is) really brings out the pain in his voice and just captivates the viewer in the tragedy and suffering. I have to admit I cant choose as to who is better. Emilia or Rem. Both wonderful characters in their own way and both are unique in the way they act and how they treat other people. It amazes me how this anime can hit right in the feels at times, sure it has its moment where you just want to skip a few minutes due to um... massive breakdown drama of the protagonist and cringe worthy scenes, but other than that the story is amazing, clear, and thorough. The character development is beautiful as a protagonist, who is confused, worried, and probably scared, gets thrown into a situation that he never thought would happen. The way he handles every situation time and time again even after death, even after knowing hes gonna die. This is truly a worthful anime to watch. Cliffhangers being split everywhere constantly keep you wanting more and asking questions. Season 1 just ended out on too high of a note, too high of a cliffhanger and so many question left unanswered almost symbolizing a season 2. I feel if the developer really wanted to, he would have done more. But since most animes have 24-25 epiodes per season, I feel as if its just for continuity. I'm hoping for a season 2 honestly as this has been one of the best animes I have every watched despite its... moments. Definitely worth investing your time into and I don't say that about many. I know this is probably one of those Tl;dr comments but if you did read it then I hope you turn this up one day. I promise you wont regret it.
