I have the older model from about 6-7 years ago. I added a powered winch and wireless remote with dedicated battery so I can go back and forth from the ATV and the Tractor without having to deal with any wiring to them. I have moved hundreds of ton of soil, gravel, rock, wood and whatever I can fit in it. I dropped 500lb boulders in it with my tractor and all it does is leave a little dent here and there. It is pretty indestructible except one time I overloaded it with too much gravel and bent one of the axles. Woodland Mills sent me a new one no charge, love this company.
Woodland Mills does the best job I have ever seen packaging there products for shipping. Everything I have seen you unbox even has a steel cage around it.
I purchased one of those quite some time ago and love it. I use it to haul lumber, dirt gravel, you name it. One problem I have had is the wheel bearings. I had one lock up a few weeks after I got it. I purchased one and Woodland mills sent me one after I reported it to them, so I had an extra bearing. It's a good thing because I had another one go out some months later. When I removed the wheels from the axel shaft, I found that they weren't packed well with grease. All the grease was between the bearings and not on the bearings themselves. If I were to do it again, I'd pop the covers off the hubs and check to see how much grease is on them. The grease fittings are in the middle and there is a huge cavity between the bearings. You have to put a lot of grease in there before it gets to the bearing.
If it has grease fittings in the middle of the hub pop the caps off the hubs pump grease in until it comes out. if you don't take the caps it will/can blow the seals out.
I bought one of these in 2014 and it's still going strong. Mine also converts into a log bunk by removing the box, easy conversion. I see they have (WM) gone to a synthetic rope for the crank, good idea. The steel cable on mine was the first thing to go. I tell you I have abused my trailer and it still in one piece. Mine has more of a crane action which stretches over half the length of the box. It also has stabilizers for craning of the sides of the box. Great for picking up and loading heavy objects like generators I don't remember there being so many parts to assemble though.
Hi Sandy… just got ours 3 weeks ago and love it. Great for moving chips, firewood or anything else for that matter. Thanks for the review and unboxing! Cheers and greetings from Coldwater.
Hello Sandy. Did they tell you what kind of a load the trailer will carry? Another great packaging job by Woodland Mills. They mean for their product to arrive intact and undamaged. Have good days!
That looks like a very useful trailer, I wonder if it would save a little cranking if the winch cable was marked with tape or magic marker so you knew how much cable to pull out. Thanks for sharing.
That's pretty slick. It looks like people could ride in the back and sit on the wheel wells. Maybe kids could. It is hard to tell if an adult could sit on the wheel well. Good shot from underneath showing how the suspension works. Welll done, Sandy
You are the reason I have woodland products. Thanks for sharing another great video. I have been looking at one of these units to purchase. Happy Canada Day Long weekend!
You should look into a 3 point scissor lift hitch, you could dump the trailer with just using 3 point lift. Good easy trailer though,,electric winch and even easier, good vid as always
Sandy I have been watching your channel for a couple of years from North Pole, Alaska just east of Fairbanks. I have a Woodland Mills band saw I bought last fall but have not set it up yet. Thar trailer looks like a fine piece of equipment. What was the cost of that not including freight? I may have to get one. Keep up the great outdoor work. Dave Schmitz, 50 year Alaskan
The walking axles and rotating hitch are great features.... keeps you from losing the load over bumps or twisting the hitch frame up....very nice trailer! Still trying to figure out why they gave you the colour blind version? Blue frame and green box?? 😁
I’ve used a non rotating ball hitch on an off-road trailer before and sure don’t like that compared to this rotating one. I like the idea that if the trailer ever flips on its side the atv won’t be thrown over too
Been looking at this trailer a long time. Could use it for a multitude of tasks. Thanks for the real life demo. It really hauls a good size load! Would be great for spreading chips on my trails.
I got the smaller pathfinder trailer after I got fed up with the cheesy lawn carts tongues folding up hauling firewood. I love it! Only issue I have is it can get real heavy real quick for my small four wheeler (Yamaha big bear 400). I figured I’d use a smaller more with my mower and wheeler than a big one with the tractor
I need a small dump trailer and have been looking at this one. It seems to be the most cost effective unit I have found so far. But I do wish they offered an electric winch. Thinking it might be possible to retrofit one. In any case, thank you for introducing the trailer - it looks good.
Afternoon Sandy, Impressive little dumper, something like that would work well behind the 4 wheeler to work around my deer stands. Did notice something you have a swivel trailer connector may want to make sure it stays greased to prevent rust/corrosion from making it not swivel .Skippy little addition. Have a great weekend Cheers!
Just thought here Sandy. I wonder if you could use the wench on the Wallenstien to raise the bed of the trailer. However, it looks like the trailer wench has a pretty efficient ratio raising the dump body.
That’s a great idea Jack. My only issue would be I’m unable to let the trailer back down slowly since my winch is either freespooling, locked or pulling
I immediately thought of the same thing. I find The winch on the wallenstein is fairly easy to control. You can let slip clutch a bit to ease the dump wagon down. In theory this way you could dump righ from the cab. I use the wallenstein to load logs onto my sawmill. It works really good
You should try your cordless drill or impact with a socket on it,and see if that would crank the winch up to dump. ( It looks easy enough to crank as is,but if you ever break your wrist.....)
Good afternoon Sandy it sure beat unloading by hand and it will be useful at many other little projects make yourself a ramp back the trailor onto it to be able to dump straight in one of those IBC tote great little addition on the whole thing to make life more enjoyable have a great day
COOL, Sandy! I see at least a thousand uses for that on the farm, and you could easily tow it with a side-by-side. Get an inexpensive DC electric winch from Harbor Freight or someone similar, put a cigarette lighter female plug in the tractor and a male plug on the winch power cable. It only needs to power one direction, the weight of the trailer bed will lower it. The rear tailgate is top hinged so you could use it to dump sand, gravel, or whatever while driving. i.e. spread salt on ice in winter, spread wood chips along a road in summer.... Nice new toy! BTW, is the floor of your shop dirt? I thought it was concrete.
I have a dump trailer with a winch, and it is probably the best overall tool for so many things!!! I really like the size of your trailer for the type of uses you are looking to use it for!! A small electric winch with a battery will make it even better!
I agree there Tim! I find I’m always stuck for having to move stuff around and usually it’s in smaller areas off-road so the small off-road dump trailer is a great piece for me. The electric winch ever a great idea!
Sandy I have thought for a long time in your hide out, you need a wood burning stove. Add or use an area board and batten where you store tools blades etc. 12 volt lights you have with solar. Great place to warm up dry damp cloths while working there. Just a thought make sludge warn up
I have wanted a trailer like that for a while now!! I would change the winch to a 12volt ATV winch with remote though so It would be easier to spread chips/sand/gravel dirt while moving. Just slowly raise as needed while driving down the trail. Definitely love these trailers and the ones like it where the box comes out and it turns into an atv log trailer. Someday...
You will use it for many many things... i have one similar in size i bought in Peterborough, it's battery/hydraulic and i use it all the time from mulch to firewood, sure is easy on the back... Pete from Beckwith
Sorry for the late Comment. I wonder how those compere to ULTRA-TEK Trailers sold down here. Built pretty much the same. I have one of those big Green Poly Trailers for the ATV. I converted it hydraulic lift since My ATV has a Hydraulic Pump on it. It will stand the dump box on end totally 90 Degrees. AHAHAHHA. and it has a Trailer hitch on the back to pull a second Trailer or the Wood Splitter.
Seems like a lot of time is spent on dumping. Maybe leave the boom up so you don’t have to mess with the winch so much? Hinge the gate maybe too? Seems like a lot of space was used up in fender wells too. Can the sides be extended to hold more? For what you can load with the tractor it seems really small. 😏 Just thinking out loud. 😊
I have had one of these for about 8 months. The one thing I am going to do is pin the hitch so it don't spin. It has its place but when you want to grab and go with the 3 point it never works out. Other than that I love it.
I've looked into getting the pathlander trailer my self. Just can't seem to unpinch the pennies. That bigger one you are using is nice, but too big for my needs. Good vid. Thanks.
Half a cord of wood? 1/4 cord? Those making fire wood deliveries will want to know. looks like the cat's meow for hauling wood, sand, shavings, manure and rocks. A farmer's dream.
I tow it around with my ATV on all my trails. If it’s loaded with topsoil it would be a be a bit heavy I’d think going up and down hills but for everything else I think it’s a good size for ATV too
MM77 Approved 👍🏼 👍🏼………………………………………………….That was a lot of nuts and bolts. But I knew that you could do it, I know y’all’s motto, “If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.” LOL But honestly, that thing is going to come in pretty handy! I’m telling you, ANYTHING that saves wear and tear on your body, will pay big dividends when you get older.
U seem to be a relatively handy man . Not sure what it cost you (woodland trailer )but l built a 4x8 hydraulic dump with a walking beam axle ( such as the one in the video ) for $1500. not including the cylinder.
It won't be long before Woodland Mills has electric trailer winch as an option.
Would be a great upgrade

Would love to see the electric winch set up as I want to do the same with my Multilander!
Woodland Mills does the best job I have ever seen packaging there products for shipping. Everything I have seen you unbox even has a steel cage around it.

Good afternoon, Sandy! That is one sweet dump trailer. I can see you using it for a multitude of things. Greetings from Peterborough.
Thanks Ken! I didn’t know what I was missing not having a dump trailer but this thing sure is slick
I’m surprised you didn’t travel with a loaded bucket and reduce the number of trips! Nice outfit, thanks for speeding up assembly!
That would’ve been a good idea for sure
I bought one of these in 2014 and it's still going strong. Mine also converts into a log bunk by removing the box, easy conversion. Really great to hear it’s lasted so we’ll Rod! Sounds like it will serve me very well
Nice trailer, I just know we are going to see you putting it through it's paces.
It’s sure getting a lot of use
Hi Sandy… just got ours 3 weeks ago and love it. Great for moving chips, firewood or anything else for that matter. Thanks for the review and unboxing! Cheers and greetings from Coldwater.
Hey Bryan! Great to hear it’s worked out great for ya! I’m really liking it as well
Hello Sandy. Did they tell you what kind of a load the trailer will carry? Another great packaging job by Woodland Mills. They mean for their product to arrive intact and undamaged. Have good days!
Hey there Buddy Reed! I believe it’s good for 2000lbs
"Some assembly required" for sure but that is part of the fun of any project for me!
I do find that despite the time commitment, the assembly does give me a good understanding of how it works
Hi Sandy. This is where a 4in1 bucket comes in very handy. And thanks again for sending me that drawing. Very much appreciated
That would be a handy setup on a tractor. I’ve never used one but have seen them before.
That looks like a very useful trailer, I wonder if it would save a little cranking if the winch cable was marked with tape or magic marker so you knew how much cable to pull out. Thanks for sharing.
That’s a good tip. It was a guessing game to start so a mark like that would work great I’d think
That's pretty slick. It looks like people could ride in the back and sit on the wheel wells. Maybe kids could. It is hard to tell if an adult could sit on the wheel well.
Good shot from underneath showing how the suspension works. Welll done, Sandy
Hey there! Great to hear from ya! Hope we cross paths this year at Bunyan!
You are the reason I have woodland products. Thanks for sharing another great video. I have been looking at one of these units to purchase. Happy Canada Day Long weekend!
I appreciate all your support! Happy Canada Day neighbour!
Woodland Mills is impressive with their steel framed shipping crates!
I sure do like the crates! I use them for work benches often
Nice demo Sandy. You do a good job with these 👍
Thanks Todd!
Nice addition to the fleet!
Thanks Billy!
Sandy, another tool for making things easier for one person to do different jobs around your wood 🪵 yard 😮😊❤
Hey Todd! Have a great weekend
You should look into a 3 point scissor lift hitch, you could dump the trailer with just using 3 point lift. Good easy trailer though,,electric winch and even easier, good vid as always
Titan Attatchments makes one I believe
I’m glad they finally listened to me and gave you one. I love mine. Use it for everything. I mentioned this is a video of yours last year sometime lol
Haha thanks for all that support Steve!
Great for hauling wood chip to fill in low spots. Have great weekend.
Thanks Brian! Will get a tonne of use for sure

I've enjoyed watch you and your business grow over the past several years Sanday! Hoping you get to 100K subs by the end of the year! Thank you Sandy!
Thanks for all your support Rich!

Great addition to your ranch! I can definitely see adding side boards for the lighter materials like saw dust and wood chips...
That’s a good idea! Could definitely pile the wood in High with that
This was fun to watch, thanks Sandy! Grats on the new trailer!
Thanks!
I do love my BExpanded bar. Makes digging so much easier.
It’s a great addition for sure! One of my favourite upgrades
👍great video Sandy
It looks beefy
Hey Paul!
You should try your cordless drill or impact with a socket on it,and see if that would crank the winch up to dump. ( It looks easy enough to crank as is,but if you ever break your wrist.....)
I’ll have to try that. Good idea

Absolutely! I’m not sure how I did without it before
Good little trailer. I had its predecessor, the Woodland Mills T-REX for a few years. It was definitely handy and tough. Keep up the good work! Jeff
Thanks Jeff

Pete from Beckwith
Hey Pete! Happy Canada Day neighbour!
Awesome!!
Thank you!
Nice looking trailer. Can you help me figure out why that vertical mast (that supports the idler pulley) pivots?
Hi Terry. I believe the mast may pivot so when the bed is being raised the angle of the rope stays vertical over the hook where it attaches to the bed
A power winch would be helpful.
For sure Roger
Sorry for the late Comment.

I've looked into getting the pathlander trailer my self. Just can't seem to unpinch the pennies. That bigger one you are using is nice, but too big for my needs. Good vid. Thanks.
That pathlander looks to be a good size for sure. Lots of applications
Bro you are so lucky!
Thanks for all your support!
Good looking utility trailer. Is it my imagination or is the winch cable off the pulley on the upright at the end of the video?
I think it was on when winching but when I was slacking the line I may have pulled it off the pulley by accident before putting it back on
Hi Sandy. Very nice new tool. Could you connect a socket to your cordless drill and use that to drive the hand winch?
they know how to pack
A lot in a little space for sure
Nice trailer. It would work great with my John Deere 1025r. 👍
Thank you!
Half a cord of wood? 1/4 cord? Those making fire wood deliveries will want to know. looks like the cat's meow for hauling wood, sand, shavings, manure and rocks. A farmer's dream.
Sure will have a 1000 uses. I’m not sure how much of a cord of firewood it would hold.
Think this is to big for a ATV Sandy?
I tow it around with my ATV on all my trails. If it’s loaded with topsoil it would be a be a bit heavy I’d think going up and down hills but for everything else I think it’s a good size for ATV too

Hahah most of my childhood was spent watching red green show. My favourite part was “adventures with Harold”
I agree with ya about saving my body. I’ve only got one of those and the dealer doesn’t sell replacement parts lol
U seem to be a relatively handy man . Not sure what it cost you (woodland trailer )but l built a 4x8 hydraulic dump with a walking beam axle ( such as the one in the video ) for $1500. not including the cylinder.
Hey there Fred. Sounds like a great setup you’ve got
Nice rig unfortunately its too large for my uses.
Yeah it’s got some size to it for sure. Their smaller version called the pathlander is probably better setup for ya by the sounds of it
