Actually policemen sometimes don't write very convincing/detailed reports because gunfights are often a blur. Part of their job is to defend their own team, so if the davidians looked like they were going to take a shot, the police would've immediately pulled the trigger as a defensive move. What happens usually, because of this, is that both shots go off within a split second of each other. So it's really hard to tell who shot first. A lot of split-second action happening, and it can be a total blur.

Most documentaries and coverage on the issue do nothing to talk about how almost all of the children died trapped in a bunker down below. The intense fire, smoke inhalation, heat higher than an oven, and a blocked door due to the tanks literally knocking down parts of the building are to blame. The tear gas used was HIGHLY flammable and that particular type is no longer in use. But exacerbated the flames. Tremendously. Most accounts claim escape was nearly impossible and the “suicides” were the results of self-mercy to avoid the flames. Not a single fire truck was even called into action until the fire had engulfed 90% of the compound. The fire lasted some 90 minutes….. and officials did nothing to help.
All that was left of the building was the steel reinforced concrete bunker where they found 32 bodies inside & 9 bodies up on top. Oh my God, If you've never see the photos of what's left of the bodies, they died a horrific death. Not everyone inside was burned beyond recognition. Many of the limbs are missing or the bones have turned to ash because of the intense heat from the fire. Many of the bodies are fused together, it was hard to tell if they were women or children. The one thing you will see & notice about the intact bodies of the adults & children found outside & inside the bunker is how they are twisted & contorted. I've read this was the effects on a body who was alive & overcome by breathing in too much gas. This got me because I could see these children were trying to scream & reaching out for someone while gasping for breaths of air. Picture that in your mind for a moment. I'll bet you weren't aware of this, they found the bodies of several men that showed they had been run over & flattened by the treads of a tank BEFORE they were burned from the fire. The photos show this. It's been years ago that I saw a video here on TH-cam that showed the interior of the steel reinforced concrete bunker. There was a hole opened up in the top of the ceiling. The reason I remember this was because the video showed that the rebar had been bent down inside. I'm no explosive expert & this is just my opinion, it looked like some type of bomb had been detonated on top of the bunker. I don't know if the 9 bodies found on top of the bunker died from shrapnel, explosive blunt force, gunshots or fire. I haven't been able to find this video again. If anybody has seen it or knows what I'm speaking about, please confirm.

I just want to know who shot first, because that is what started it off. In the show they made it pretty clear that the believe the ATF opened fire and if that's the case, then this is all to be blamed on them. However, the Branch Davidians could have proven in court with the bullet holes and so on that they did not open fire and I assume most of them would have survived.
Old comment but basically it's 99% probable that the ATF opened fire first but the circumstances which led to it are unclear. Basically one of two things happened, either; 1. ATF agents at the front of the house opened fire when the saw armed cult members first, which led to the gunfight beginning. OR 2. ATF agents at the back of the house executed some dogs that belonged to the compound. This caused a panic at the front of the house where the ATF believed the cult had opened fire first and the cult believed the ATF opened fire first so both sides started shooting. In all likelyhood, it's scenario 2, where the ATF executed the dogs that is most likely what happened.
They pumped that place full of gasses then threw in the type of flash bangs that ignite. Then heat signature shows two of them mowing down a crowd of people trying to escape. This was a mostly elderly branch full of women nursing children. Claimed to be Americans first and proud Americans. Had a legal gun selling business. At one point you see part of a mutilated man in a tank tread. One woman was shot in the shoulder while nursing a baby. These people were terrified. A technicality allowed the military to be used against American citizens. As for The child misconduct in question, their ages were 14 and unfortunately that was legal in Texas at the time.
Documentary? You mean TV Drama. The Netflix series is equally as biased towards David Koresh as the History Channel segment is towards the FBI/ATF. It would also have you believe David was a man of sound mind and a bit of a religious fanaticism, who was only driven crazy by the siege. You need only listen to the testimony of the survivors to understand how inaccurate that portrayal is. He was certainly charismatic... but it was a facade to lure in weak or troubled people whom he could easily manipulate. A trait common in cult leaders. The series also perpetuates the notion that the ATF and FBI (specifically the FBI in this case) were out for blood and planned to get it through the most barbaric means necessary. This is sadly just not accurate. The FBI/ATF were inappropriately aggressive. However, at the time, this was procedure for these types of entrenchments. Additionally, Behavior Analysts and Hostage Negotiators were seen as a means of stalling for a surgical assault to be planned and later executed. The series (probably just for dramatic story telling) wants you to believe the commander in charge of the situation respected what Gary (or any of the other 20 or so negotiators not depicted) was able to accomplish, despite the apparent impatience. This is untrue. They simply wanted to study the compound and plan an assault that wouldn't make them look awful on national news, which only grew more complicated overtime due to media coverage and breakdowns in negotiations (which, ironically was as portrayed... the failings of the tactical teams). You also can't blame many of the individual agents. Most were young, poorly trained officers. They were likely told how dangerous the Branch cult was, and likely feared them. The gun battle at the very start of the siege would have only solidified that feeling. It wasn't until agency reform (which took place in Clinton's second term and Bush's first term), that the FBI (more specifically in this case) began to rely more heavily on a psychological approach to hostile standoffs. There is also significantly better training for behavior analysts and negotiators. The show gets a lot right, but it definitely paints Koresh in too positive a light.

The narrative
The MSM are the left wing extremists that’s why.
The fire lasted some 90 minutes….. and officials did nothing to help.
so you're telling me the guy she appointed did a fair investigation? lmao...
I saw that video too I’m sure our government has it now they ran over innocent children with their tanks n FYI the door to the compound mysteriously disappeared because it showed our cowardly government acted first. GOD BLESS THIS FCKN COUNTRY HUH

Hard to prove anything regarding bullet holes when the entire church was burned to ash inside an hour.
ATF definitely shot first
Old comment but basically it's 99% probable that the ATF opened fire first but the circumstances which led to it are unclear.
Basically one of two things happened, either;
1. ATF agents at the front of the house opened fire when the saw armed cult members first, which led to the gunfight beginning.
OR

Far Cry 5 was an amazing game.
Wasting a whole complex of people just to go after David Koresh is what is unjust.
Sledge would have got this done quick
Who is here after watching the Netflix documentary?
Param Singh yup lol
