I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the seven-hundred-forty-seventh day of the war.
    Day 747: Mar 11
Today, there is a lot of news from the Bakhmut direction.
The most interesting updates come from the southern flank.
Here, Ukrainian forces continued undermining the Russian offensive effort by maintaining total fire control of the key Russian logistical routes.
The continued inability of Russian forces to secure the key supply lines by conducting counterbattery missions to suppress Ukrainian artillery exposes a crucial weakness of Russian forces. The reason why Russians are failing to provide cover for the moving units is twofold. First of all, there is a scarcity of artillery systems in this area, without which Russians cannot suppress Ukrainian artillery fire like in other areas of the frontline. Secondly, most artillery systems that were present in this area have been relocated to Ivanivske, where they are used to support Russian offensive efforts. Ukrainians are not wasting time and exploit this weakness to the fullest extent. New updates show us that at least ten Russian vehicles, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, and supply trucks were destroyed around the village. Not only that, but many Russian soldiers were killed during the strikes on the vehicles. Besides these losses, Russians had also lost a prized T-Ninety-M tank to an FPV drone. T-Ninety-M is considered the most protected tank in Russian service and there are less than two hundred of them, so they are more sensitive to losses with respect to these tanks than other tank variants.
When it comes to Ivanivske itself, the situation here is very complex.
Latest reports suggest that Russian forces made some advances inside the village. Recently released geolocated combat footage indicates that Russians are operating in the central part of the settlement, namely, on Tereshkova Street. Ahead of each wave of assaults, Russians conducted extensive artillery preparations, after which they initiated bombardments with guided FAB bombs that left the whole village destroyed. The current focus of bombardment is the southern part of the village. As we can see from combat footage, not a single building is spared from Russian bombings. Despite utilizing the scorched-earth policy, Russian progress in the village still comes at a great cost, as indicated by multiple destroyed tanks on the streets. Ukrainian fighters report that the situation in Ivanivske is dynamic and complex. To the north of the village, Russians made small gains and took a few prisoners of war, while that portion of the front was mostly in the gray zone. Ukrainian control of the forest on the hill makes it harder for Russians to advance because they are observing and striking Russian positions in Ivanivske and threatening flanks by a potential flank attack. For this reason, Russians engaged their aviation and conducted aerial bombardment of Ukrainian positions, indicating that there is no Russian soldiers anywhere in the vicinity of the forest, and so far, all infantry assault have failed to get a foothold within the trees.
When it comes to the northern flank of Chasiv Yar, the situation is more difficult.
Aerial bombardments seem to have become the most common in this part of the frontline. This was confirmed by Russian sources, which stated that after the fall of Avdiivka, the focus of Russian aviation shifted to Chasiv Yar. Russians are bombing Chasiv Yar every day because they want to try to weaken Ukrainian forces in the town and destroy their defensive positions before initiating urban fighting. This approach helped Russians take Avdiivka, so they plan to utilize the same approach here as well. For this purpose, Russians also started the mass production of a guided variant of FAB-One-Thousand-Five-Hundred bomb, which has over six hundred kilograms of explosive charge. According to Ukrainian fighters on the ground, the part of the town that suffered the most from airstrikes is the Kanal district. The fighters also recorded large bomb craters, which show us the density of Russian bombardments. This clearly indicates that Russians are not only bombing Ukrainian troops that are rotating from Ivanivske but also setting the conditions for launching the storming operation of Chasiv Yar. Ukrainians anticipated the course of events to unfold in this manner and, according to Spokesman for the Eastern Group of Forces Captain Ilya Yevlash, the Ukrainian forces have established significant defensive...

Ukraine should be provided with an enough fighter aircraft to form airforce, such as F-16s and longer-range precision munitions, including ATACMS (more of them, and the longest-range versions should be sent to them), and the russian military facilities inside of russian territory should be considered legitimate targets. It is worth noting that support for military aid to Ukraine in America is over 80% and increasing. This is because Americans understand that not only is aiding Ukraine the morally right thing to do, it is the practical thing to do also. America has spent something like approximately 6% of our military budget so far to aid Ukraine. However, more than half of the russian army has been destroyed. This is a tremendous bargain by any measure! In addition, when russia is defeated in this war, their barbaric ideology of imperialism will also be defeated,, making Europe a much more peaceful and stable place for decades - as well as preventing a new arms race in the region. That is why billions of dollars spent today to aid Ukraine saves trillions of dollars tomorrow. The vast majority of Americans understand this fact.. Americans also want Ukrainian military and civilian casualties minimized. This is why Americans are correct to support providing military aid to Ukraine.
Please write to your elected representatives to request this military aid. If you are an American citizen, please consider writing to President Biden and your other elected representatives, and demand Ukraine be given the above weapons -=- in war-winning quantities, and promptly. The sooner America provides Ukraine the weapons it requires to liberate all of its territory, the sooner this war will be done, and with fewer Ukrainian casualties. Letters can be submitted electronically via the Whitehouse website. One can also conduct a google search for ones' elected representatives - many of which have similar websites. One may simply write and submit a letter electronically to make one's desire known.

@@user-td3uy7qu6b Russia has been defeated in many wars my friend. Do not confuse successfully invaded and occupied with defeated. The only time Russia succeeded against a formidable enemy is when that enemy attempted to invade Russia and suffered the consequences of Russian manpower and mother nature.
Yet in almost every conflict Russia has engage in outside of Russian borders unless the Russians outnumbered the other forces substantially or had assistance from other countries Russia has also lost. The Russian record outside of Russia when fighting alone (as it is today against Ukraine) is in fact very poor.
Considering both Russia and Western military experts predicted an easy victory to Russia in Feb 2022 one could say Ukraine is far and away the winner to date in this conflict as 2+ years on and Russia is not really that much closer to victory than it was in March 2022.
In fact some would say it is in a worse situation than then. Considering most of the territory it holds will take many years to rehabilitate/rebuild (whichever side eventually wins should there be a victor) Russia is in fact worse off today than in Feb 2022.

It is heartening to learn that Russia no longer has enough artillery systems to go on the offensive and effectively protect defensive areas. Ukraine has really done a lot of damage.
Things looked very dark in WW2 in 1942. The Axis looked invincible. But the tide turned slowly after the Axis "shot its wad", and the West started building their forces.
We may be at a point where Ulkraine could go back on the offensive once they have more fighter jets, long range artillery, and Western resupply.
As an American I sincerely hope the Democrats keep and enhance control of our government so we can once again support Ukraine.

Ukrainians have a fixation with liberating Crimea before it’s time. All Ukrainian Military Leaders but especially Marines, should watch the movie a Bridge Too Far detailing the human cost of Operation Market Garden during WW2. The Operation did achieve some goals. The cost of these goals in troops was huge and could have been achieved with a less aggressive, less dramatic Operation executed over a slightly longer 2 week timeline.
Here is what I would look for in Ukrainian Marine Operations.
1: Pick a landing area Ukrainians have a “reasonable” expectation to logistically support.
2: This Operation needs more than just a Marine beachhead. It will need Army support.
3: The AO (Area of Operations) will need superior Air Defense AND also F16 aircraft coverage. Why? Because in the AO Ukrainians need Air Dominance to Air Superiority to allow logistics to flow.
The AO will be Kherson Oblast East. I hate the Dnipro River South Offensive as a waste of Ukrainian resources on a secondary front not critical to immediate overall success. Nevertheless, compared to a Crimea Operation, this Offensive is “reasonable” in foolhardiness!
My concept is simple to execute with a High Risk, High Reward opportunity.
1: Rotate Marines out of their current beachheads. Their replacements will be an Army 1 Brigade Infantry (Light). A follow on Army 1 Brigade Infantry Team, which includes IFVs and MBTs (Soviet Era Upgraded), will be on ready.
2: 2 Brigade Infantry (Marines), will land on the Spit between Pokrovske and Vasylivska. This is where F16 and Air Defense protection allows Ukrainian SU27s to provide CAS. The Operation can NOT occur without Air Dominance.
3: IF the 2 Brigades (Marines) are successfully landed and establish a breachhead leading to a Security Zone, then a 2ND more aggressive landing will take place. This landing will be 1 Brigade Infantry (Marines) southeast of Heroiske to cut off Russian reinforcements.
4: IF 2 and 3 are successfully executed, 3 Brigade Infantry Teams (Marines) should be able to establish a defense line at the Spit narrow point west of Ivanivka. This narrow point has tree lines and water obstacles to aid defense lines.
5: At this point, the Army will land 2 Brigade Infantry Teams (Mech) and 1 Battalion Artillery (155MM Towed) to replace the 3 Brigade Infantry Teams (Marines).
6: The Marines will not leave the Spit but assemble near Pokrovka. These Units will make a beachhead northwest of Ochakivske.
7: If 6 is successful, the new Objective will be Ivanivka. Marines will assault from the southwest and the Army from the northwest.
8: These Operations in the Dnipro River Spit Offensive should force Russians to move Units to counter this Offensive. As soon as the opportunity allows, the Dnipro River South Offensive will bring in its follow on 1 Brigade Infantry Team. They will have 1 Battalion Artillery attached and 1 Regiment Artillery supporting from Kherson Oblast West. 2 Brigade Infantry Teams (Mech) and 1-2 Battalions Artillery, will also follow to support further Exploitation Of Success.
9: On the Spit, an additional Army 1 Brigade Infantry would enable the Spit Offensive to reach a new defense line from Rybalche to Brataske/Pamiatne. With water obstacles assisting, 3 Brigade Infantry Teams (Mech), with 3 Brigade Infantry Teams (Marines), and 1 Battalion Artillery supporting plus organic artillery in each Brigade, should be able to hold this position with Air Dominance and consistent logistics.
10: Both the Spit Offensive and the Dnipro River South Offensive share the same Objective: the M17/M14 Road Junction east of Oleshky. Capture of this Objective will combine the Dnipro River South and Spit Offensives into a Corp Level Kherson Oblast East Offensive.
So what can a Corp Level Kherson Oblast Offensive actually achieve?
My belief is a hard Ukrainian defense line from Velyki Kopani along a forest line to just west of Obryvka. For this success, Air Defense Units would need to be east of Oleshky. Additionally, the Marine Brigades would move to Ivanivka and be replaced by Army Brigade Infantry Teams (Mech). While most of the Ukrainian front would remain on Defensive Operations, a new Offensive would occur to liberate Port Zaliznyi. The Army would use 2 Brigade Infantry Teams (Mech) from its flank security to advance to the Objective. The 3 Brigade Infantry Teams (Marines) would land south of Port Zaliznyi to help envelop the City. They would not land until Bekhtery was liberated by the Army. This would ensure both arrived on time. If weather prevented a real Black Sea landing by the Marines, landings near Novochornomirya behind barrier islands could be attempted. Otherwise, the 3 Brigades of Marines would flank security on land moving southeast from Bratske to Bekhtery. The ultimate 2024 goal is to have a Ukrainian defense line from Velyki Kopani north to the Dnipro River at Novo Kakhovka and south from Velyki Kopani to Skadovsk. The Ukrainian Marines will have performed 3-4 landing Operations and maybe 1 was physically on the Black Sea. This is critical for Crimea liberation. Of the 9-12 Brigades used in this Corp Level Operation, 3 are Marine Brigades already committed. This means of the 30 new Brigades Ukraine will add in 2024, only 6 need to backfill Reserves and frontline Brigades in other areas. This Operation will use only experienced Units. Ukrainian logistics will need at least 3 ferries to supply the Spit Offensive. At least 2 Pontoon Bridges are needed to cross the Dnipro River to supply the Mechanized equipment needed to turn a beachhead into a true Offensive Operation. If these supports cannot be given, if at least Air Dominance is not achieved, then these Offensive Operations can NOT occur. If by part of the plan, reaches an impasse which cannot be resolved, the plan has to be adjusted until it can work OR Units have to dig in until additional opportunities develop.
PS: Attacking the Kerch Bridge is a Strategic Level Operation. It should be achieved with drones or missiles. Marines are used in Operational Level missions.
