Hey guys this is kind of a new thing, if you enjoy these short form quick fix guitar lessons please let me know and I will shoot more - by the way don’t forget to press the notification bell for supreme glory \m/
Yes, interesting, do more, but don't be surprised if it results in people wanting you to play more slowly overall: these scales are a lot more interesting when they don’t fly by.
I love this format, really practical and just straight on gets to it. Please keep doing these. Most lick lessons have tabs and the guy slows it down to like 15bpm and plays it 12 times whilst telling everyone the fret numbers and which fingers to put where and this quick lesson becomes 15 minutes. There are enough tutorial videos that are made for complete beginners, but i haven't seen anyone doing these super short and effective ones, please keep it this way and don't give into the ''tabs plz'' community.
Love that scale! It is actually called the Hirajoshi scale. I use it a lot when i’m playing over a song that needs something a little more sinister sounding and i usually use it as a run up into another part of the solo
What an awesome guitar! I want one. Love the color , f hole and string thru body! I'm going to try and learn the lick. Thanks for the post and keep em coming Rob! HAPPY 2019!
Love it, man. Definitely want to see more. Also, loved what you were doing with those tasty power chord intros. Would be cool to see a quick lesson on those too, imo.
Rob, you nailed my attention span. Would love to see more of this short sharp style of lesson and insight into the tips and tricks of the pro guitarist. Have a great new year from Sydney. 🍾🍻
Awesome format! Would love to learn quick blues rock licks this way. Maybe with some info like for instance the key in wich you can play it would be nice :) happy newyear Rob!
It's a very major sounding scale so what Rob played in the video was in the key of C# (Or D flat if you want to call it that). You can play the lick in a different key if you want by starting on a different fret. The chords you can play over will probably be something that's in the scale/key that the lick is in. Hope that helped.
Rob - Great lesson BUT - next time please choose a guitar that has some frets markers. I’m doing math over here. And you seem to be tuned to E flat? Your killing me dude
johnpickk You’re right and I do that, it’s just seems that I hit a ‘wall’... hopefully I’ll get past it, but it doesn’t stop it being hugely frustrating
Can you please do a lesson on how you play with the ring slide? I saw a video recently where you went behind the scenes of the new album of Clockwork wolf and Co. You were playing this absolutely beautiful segment with a ring slide
Would like to hear that guitar unplugged as well. It obviously can scream when its plugged in but how accoustic is it unplugged? Its a great stage axe, but could it be a great practice axe when an amp is not available and you dont want to lug around an acoustic?
is there a way to get this in tabs? i much perfer to read it in tab. Ive only played by tab not someone showing on the guitar it self xD also really cool! or mabye in future use a guitar with fret markers so we can more easy se what you play where you play it. Ps i love your video's man!
Hey there, try to slow down the video, especially when he plays it slow. I believe the infinity sign he has on the fretboard is at the 12th fret, use that as a reference, just watch his hands and listen. It will make your life a lot easier to not look for tabs.
@@ibekerkhoven9858 Dude not cool. He made a joke and apparently it flew well over your head. No need to be calling names. No way would chapman appreciate that kind of behavior form his comunity bro.

Yee Thirty did that years ago, people just got angry LOL
This is cool
Happy New Year, Rob

Please make this a series!
Agree👍
Yaaaz!

Love the new quick lesson format. I'm usually bored by long and slow 20+ minute lessons. So keep it up.
I just played the semi hollow at guitar center and I was surprised by the chubby neck. I’m saving up for the ML3!!!
THAT TONE! And the guitar. Eargasm.
Just what I was looking for to learn after my kiddo goes to sleep tonight! Keep the format short and sweet, thanks!
Love this new format! And goddamn THAT TONE IS EARGASMIC!
Thank you kindly, love your posts and once i realized you weren’t in standard these licks were fun to learn
I think this is a fantastic idea, short to the point and and a small foot hold to climb out of any rut you may be in , Inspirado !!!
Happy New Year and Thanks for all the videos ....
Happy new year Rob and Captain. I love you both so much. And happy new year everyone

I love the idea of learning little phrases to fit into my playing. Thank you Chappers!

More! I need more! Happy New Year Chappers. 😆
Yes! Please do more of these videos. This oils be very helpful to learn new licks. Cheers, Chappers.
Perfect Rob. Anyone that is intermediate to advance gets a lot out of quick licks like this to add to the arsenal of riffs!!!
Really like these kind of videos. Helps me practice new things!
Really like this ML3! Soon will be part of my collection. I am your fan Rob, Happy New Year!
Love it, man. Definitely want to see more. Also, loved what you were doing with those tasty power chord intros. Would be cool to see a quick lesson on those too, imo.
thanks bro, i actually really enjoy it being this short!! keep it up:)

Sweet!!... Work on it after work.. Hope you and your family have a great New year's 😁
awesome lick
Thanks for the tip Rob and a Happy New Year best wishes for 2019
Very cool. I like the short form lesson. One request though. Give us a little background info like which scale or key it is using. Thanks!
Great sound! What scales are these and what chords could you play it over?? Thanks! Happy new year!!

First Rob! I love you bro!
Roger Palacios Love you too bro :-)
Yes. And what pickup do you recommend for metal type runs, riffs?
Keep em coming
Love it
Cool lick bro, Happy New Year!
Yep. Short lesson is great. Like the 2 finger run. Django Reinhardt...
This could be great actually - more please!
Rob - Great lesson BUT - next time please choose a guitar that has some frets markers. I’m doing math over here. And you seem to be tuned to E flat? Your killing me dude
Would love to get my hands one of these, however my local guitar center never has Chapman guitars in stock
Great!
Is that the Hirojama (hirojima?) scale in the second lick? Great quickie lesson!
Thanks bub
You should show your fingers close up and explain what you're doing. Awesome though! 😀
Happy New Year Chappers!!!
yes enjoyed
Perfect Rob... fits exactly into what I’m practicing now!! Now I just need to work out how to make my fingers move that quickly!!
Leigh Truelove play with a metronome... slowly increase the time, and your fingers will keep track :)
johnpickk You’re right and I do that, it’s just seems that I hit a ‘wall’... hopefully I’ll get past it, but it doesn’t stop it being hugely frustrating
Live ya ch. Chapper Hapy New Year
thanks man :)
That's sweet.
Best way to learn finger picking ? As a starting point?
Adorei 👏

This man (along with chapters) taught me how to play, maybe it'll help you too

Rob! Quick question, would you ever remake the ML-1 Hotrod again? I am in need of a new guitar. Or sheesh do you know where I could find one? Thanks!
Or sheesh you can sell me yours! Ahahha
Nice
Would like to hear that guitar unplugged as well. It obviously can scream when its plugged in but how accoustic is it unplugged? Its a great stage axe, but could it be a great practice axe when an amp is not available and you dont want to lug around an acoustic?
Budd Ehaole It’s loud and woody :-)
I like the new format
the last lick from 1.07 onwards. Can you show that?
What pick ups are those?
This guitar kind of reminds me of Wednesday Mark II.
is there a way to get this in tabs? i much perfer to read it in tab. Ive only played by tab not someone showing on the guitar it self xD also really cool!

Your tune is Eb!
i love you
shame that youtube algo punishes channels for short form vids and rewards them for long form vids now. great idea rob but unfortunate timing.
Anyone tell me what that scale is please
*Correction : **1:16** guitar lesson*
First
Rob its 1AM... go to bed!
@@ibekerkhoven9858 neither do i you presumptuous assnugget. I was just making a light harted joke. Im fully awaty its morning in England.

A take off of JustinGuitars 59 second lesson.
Unusually short for Rob, but good.
Bro I cannot see the finger position!
hey this video reminds me of my channel... except Rob teaches/plays better
6th
need tab though.
LOL
Why? Its simple and he showed it slowly. He is eb btw
Hit half speed on the video and write your own tab. It's a much better learning process.
Hi, is it a standard tuning?
I think its lazy, doing 60s of playing a scale and taking massive revenue from it. I didnt learn shit
