Significance of Urea Cycle - 1) Toxic ammonia is converted into non-toxic urea 2) The cycle disposes off 2 waste products - CO2 & Ammonia 3) It forms semi-essential amino acid - Arginine 4) It participates in the regulation of blood pH, which depends upon ratio of dissolved CO2 (i.e. H2CO3 to HCO3-)
I just want to say here that, your videos are utterly brilliant and so simplified for a complex topic like urea cycle. The animation is very cool and enjoyable that it makes it easy to grasp even while learning this kind of boring topic. I must say that I was grappling with urea cycle for quite a while and found confusing to understand it, but your video made it so easy and even more simplified than that of the textbook. Thank you.
Glutamate is a dominant intracellular aminoacid, not in the blood! It gets another NH4+ to form GLUTAMINE, and glutamine transports the nitrogen from the periferal tissues to the liver, muscle uses alanine because that is essentially free (only transamination). In the liver glutamine is again converted to glutamate :)
I am someone who has all was been interested in how the body works, I have been sick with Lyme disease, and my naturopath suggested I take ornithischians, and wow it has helped reduce my head pain, guess it was a missing link for me. It’s so interesting to learn how the urea cycle works and what part the ornithine plays.
There is a mistake in this video at 0:57 . Ammonia is highly soluble in water. Thats why fishes excrete ammonia due to high volume of water around them. If human excrete ammonia it will require a large volume of water. So huge amount of Bodyfliuds will be lost.
And without seeing ur prophile name and picture , I knew I already knew !! U r an army cus these raspy and husky words are dominantly use in bts culture !! Oohhh lovely armies are everywhere 💜💜💜
Please make a video on reactions of amino acids, deamination, transamination, and on de novo fatty acid synthesis! Your explanation is very good and easy to understand. Kindly help us students out in such biochem topics!
Great video, but when you describe the argininosuccinate being broken down into arginine and fumarate, you must have made a mistake. Fumarate and succinate are very similar except that succinate has no carbon double bonds whereas fumarate has a C=C double bond with the central 2 carbons. You called the two molecules that resulted from that reaction arginine and fumarate. You must have meant succinate as there is no double bond between the middle carbons.
I think you have the strcture of ornithine wrong. The amino group should be at the alpha carbon, the way you have it has carbon atom with 5 bonds. Same goes for citrulline, argininosuccinate and arginine.

💯💞
Tomorrow's my exam and I just remembered that I should study this ... Thanks a lot for making things easier
Me: looks up for a biochemistry topic
*finds a video by medsimplified
- realizes my work is simplified😁
Truly amazing!
It was amazing. I was struggling a lot with this pathway but you made it super clear. Thanks a lot!
You explained it in simplified manner, make it easier to understand. Thank you very much.
You are very welcome

Why us NH3 insoluble?
It is actually a highly soluble compound in water and dissolves as quickly as HCL in water
This is great
I have seen many videos regarding this topic, but no one has explained it as simplified as u❤️❤️
This is a fantastic video. Simple, informative, and well-designed. 10/10. Thank you very much for simplifying a confusing topic.
It's a valuable video tq
ammonia is a water-soluble compound
Your raspy voice makes me study more😂
And without seeing ur prophile name and picture , I knew I already knew !! U r an army cus these raspy and husky words are dominantly use in bts culture !!
Oohhh lovely armies are everywhere 💜💜💜
It is an amaziiiiiiing video, with fantastic explaination , Thank you.
Sir love you sir ❤
You are the god for all students 😌
This is a fantastic video. Simple, informative, and well-designed. Would be interesting add a subtitles at the video.
Congratulations for you job.
Sir but ammonia most soluble hota h....may u please check again
Thank you for making this so simple, helpful, and easy to understand!
Simply amazing video, high quality production, thx.
Bro u are wrong when u say ammonia is insoluble in water. But despite that good explanation
Thanku so much sir for this beautiful explanation 🙏✨
😍😍😍😍😍very nice for our studies
Thank u heartly
Glad you liked the video.😄
Such a great video.
Fully got the concept.
Pls so more videos on biochem cycles like this.
Hi bro
Ammonia is a water soluble compound then howcome it will be insoluble in water.
Which is crt? Please Explain bro
Not ammonia it's ammonium ion... Which is insoluble substance
Thank you 💓 its very informative n interesting cz of u 🔥❤️
You are great sir. You literally cleared all my doubts .Thank you sir
Little correction in the first step of urea cycle: the substrates are ammonium and bicarbonate (you mentioned carbon dioxide) if I'm not wrong Sir
you are right! thank youu!!
this is a fantastic video! very clear and easy to understand. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much sir for making a complicated topic 'easy to understand'
I really appreciate your efforts
Keep it up !✨
Is citrulline structure okay ?
Theseasonorg explains the whole bible God bless
How are such animations made????
Please make a video on reactions of amino acids, deamination, transamination, and on de novo fatty acid synthesis! Your explanation is very good and easy to understand. Kindly help us students out in such biochem topics!
Brilliant video. So clear and easy to understand. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Your channel truly simplifies your way of teaching ❤️🙌
this pathway but you made it super clear. Thanks a lot!
You made such a complicated cycle very easy for us...thanks sir..keep uploading more and more...
Very good video, but double check your structures. Carbon usually doesn't like to make more than 4 bonds...
Best urea cycle explanation
Very detailed and interactive explanation hats off pls upload more biochemistry videos
Best explanation on this topic! Thank you so much
Thank you so much. Your explanations are always clear all my doubts. ❤❤
It was amazing but can you share net reaction of these reactions
Thank you so much sir for this video.
You are a blessing for students 🌸
Thank you so much ,🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Vwry welcome.
Plz make vedio on whole protein metabolism plzz
It is very useful to us and make a video for metanephridia and protonephridia
Amazing! Thanks mate!
Thanks for clearing the major doubt on wondering y protein s broken down
Thank you for the kind words! I'm always here to answer your questions.
At 8:39 think you have written cytoplasm as cytoplam.
simple, to the point and easy to understand thank you so much
Thanks soooo much..much love from Nigeria 😍
Very brilliant video 👏👏
please upload video on glycogenesis and glycogenolysis.
Great work 👍 so simplified & perfectly explained video. Thnk u 😊😊
Beautifully explained 😘
Superbbbbbbb explanation. it would be easy to grasp the concepts in this way
Can anyone confirm that arginine at 11:33 is missing a carbon in the amino acid backbone?
Very good explanation you made it vvv clear thanks🫶🏻
