Just adorable, what a remarkable woman + mother. So much talent as she plays herself yet also teaches her children violin playing and Irish dancing. To co-ordinate the string instruments and then the dancing would take hours n hours of dedication by all of them. The children are gorgeous too

I remember watching Natalie in concert at Clarendon dock in Belfast a long time ago, she was supposed to be the second act but stole the whole night, absolutely amazing musician, the main band that night were called lunasa but Natalie blew them out the water like a torpedo
What an amazing Mom, it’s not just music and dance. It’s a celebration of Irish culture, who you are who you were, this music and this dance is Ireland and a huge part of what it is to be Irish, Good for you Mom and family, we are all better people knowing the truth and the feel and the love of our heritage.
Many parents could take lessons from this family. While children are learn to fiddle and dance, they can be happy and proud. Also keeps them off cell phones and computers. Wonderful parenting! GOD bless

I wish I could see where these children are today. What talent. It came up in my recommended & I love Irish music, dancing, so clicked on it instantly.
This is wonderful. I get to see this kind of playing every summer at the local fiddle festivals, even doing the same songs. Really young kids getting up and playing away on the fiddle. And you get to watch them improve as they grow up. It's also fun to compete yourself if you play a stringed instrument.
It's not like a pagent that only goes on looks, this is showcasing real talent. It's something that a person will enjoy doing all their lives. And make a career out of it.

Oh my, how I miss seeing the young people play like this and do the Beautiful Irish Dancing as well. I have 5 Grandsons and the second oldest is the only one interested in the music. He plays Trumpet, this is his first year but he loves it and when you love what you are doing, you will grow at it better and better. These students shown here are a sign of a wonderful future ahead and that OUR IRISH CRAFT WILL NOT END BUT WILL THRIVE IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE OF TEACHERS LIKE NATALIE! Great job Natalie!!!
It’s brilliant :-)) I think this is more Scottish step dancing that we’re taught in Scotland where the arms are freer and there’s more a tap as opposed to legs going up. Celtic crossover I guess.
Yes, it certainly is Scottish as my Auntie Margaret could do it, the origins of Irish dancing started off using the Scottish style and it progressed into the Irish dance you see now.
Wow, that was great, thanks for sharing that! Natalie was always my favorite when I was taking lessons from Graham and Eleanor Townsend many years ago in Barrie, Ontario. Met her once when she played at the college. Tell her we all say hi and glad to see her performing again, and with family is even better!
Wow, Natalie Macmaster was one of my heroes growing up. My dad took me to see her when I was like 8 years old--one of my favorite childhood memories. Its really fun to see how she and her family are doing years later. :)
You can clearly hear the origins of country and bluegrass music here and how it came to America. The Scots Irish people have this in their culture and their blood. I love every minute of this wonderful music.

Don't complain about the audience clapping along. Not many groups can engage an audience to that extent. It just shows how much the people appreciate Natalie and her fine family. The Leahy family grew up not that far from where I did. There is a lot to be said for growing up on a farm.

They have seven children now.
This is wonderful. I get to see this kind of playing every summer at the local fiddle festivals, even doing the same songs. Really young kids getting up and playing away on the fiddle. And you get to watch them improve as they grow up. It's also fun to compete yourself if you play a stringed instrument.
My second comment. This one of a handful of videos that when I see it I have to watch it. It's good for my soul.

Oh my, how I miss seeing the young people play like this and do the Beautiful Irish Dancing as well. I have 5 Grandsons and the second oldest is the only one interested in the music. He plays Trumpet, this is his first year but he loves it and when you love what you are doing, you will grow at it better and better. These students shown here are a sign of a wonderful future ahead and that OUR IRISH CRAFT WILL NOT END BUT WILL THRIVE IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE OF TEACHERS LIKE NATALIE! Great job Natalie!!!
It’s brilliant :-)) I think this is more Scottish step dancing that we’re taught in Scotland where the arms are freer and there’s more a tap as opposed to legs going up. Celtic crossover I guess.
Yes, it certainly is Scottish as my Auntie Margaret could do it, the origins of Irish dancing started off using the Scottish style and it progressed into the Irish dance you see now.

Wow, that was great, thanks for sharing that! Natalie was always my favorite when I was taking lessons from Graham and Eleanor Townsend many years ago in Barrie, Ontario. Met her once when she played at the college. Tell her we all say hi and glad to see her performing again, and with family is even better!

Wow, Natalie Macmaster was one of my heroes growing up. My dad took me to see her when I was like 8 years old--one of my favorite childhood memories. Its really fun to see how she and her family are doing years later. :)

Don't complain about the audience clapping along. Not many groups can engage an audience to that extent. It just shows how much the people appreciate Natalie and her fine family. The Leahy family grew up not that far from where I did. There is a lot to be said for growing up on a farm.
