You’re becoming my favourite watch channel because of all of the “real life perspective” wrist shots. No other account really does that and I’m glad that you do.
In November 2019 I tried on the 39mm in both London and Paris. (I was never able to locate one in the United States.) I found that one too big and heavy for me, so I expect the new 41 version will be as well.
Man those videos ... You clearly understand what to show to present a watch, how it wears, how it looks from another person perspective and thos beautiful macro shots ! Love the videos !
This was my first Rolex, color and size. I am more in love with it today then when I bought it in January. Thanks for the video and I believe this watch will be an iconic watch to look back on in the future!
I noticed when trying on the 36, it definitely wears bigger than the size indicates. Which is a good thing. Initially wanted the 41, but 36 just feels perfectly proportioned.
Beautiful watch, and a perfect size for anyone. I think that the OP is the rising star of 2020, especially with the new dial colors, and also the scarcity of the sports model. Thanks for the great review 👍👍👍
Just shows the power of the crown. Making a customer who wants a sub or daytona walk out with an oyster is just ridiculous, not any other watch brand could pull that off.
The 36 looks amazingly proportionate but on the small side. I ve recently tried on the 39mm explorer and felt unnecessarily wide and flat (also duevto the style bezel), i think that the perfect case size for the explorer and the OP would be 37.5/38.
Another great review!! I picked up a new OP 41mm silver dial a month or so ago. While I love the look of the watch, after seeing the 36mm on your wrist, I’m beginning to think I may have made a size mistake. Probably should have gone with a 36mm...
Becoming my fav channel due to ur great visuals and content and as compared to other channels you chose the best watches for your videos. Watches that deserve time on screen.
Hafiz, I have to say your channel is one of the best on TH-cam. Wonderful video as always. Thx for the work you put in to them. I can tell you put a lot of time and effort. 👍🏻
Thanks so much. I’m very happy to hear this :) And yes, I do put a lot of time, effort and commitment to it. So happy to know it’s helping and reaching out to the community :)
I believe its the old air king dial, not explorer. I personally did not like the 3-6-9 dial as much as I thought I would after trying it on. This version looks far better on wrist
Beautiful. I recently acquired the Exp1 39mm. It's incredible how much the dial dictates the perceived size. It also has a 30mm dial. By my experience with a Seamaster 41 and a GMT M2, the Explorer feels very much full sized. The OP 41 wears massive with its 33mm dial.
I went to my local Rolex dealer to ask about it and they said those watches where exclusively for their customers and there was a two year!!!! Waiting list.!,,
At the end I pull the trigger and bought 2020 model op36. I am still comparing with my omega seamaster aquaterra 38mm. I still do not understand which watch is better but my draft way of thinking is they are different watches and nonsense to compare. Aquaterra is more sporty and functional but op36 is more elegant. What do you think? Kind Regards Levent
I ended up going with a 2020 116000 reference. The maxi-case with slimmer lugs felt too small on my wrist. The 36mm case is historically the traditional gentlemen’s case size. The trend of bigger watches in women may have influenced the slimmer lugs in the 126000 model. Despite the improved movement and power reserve, the 3130 caliber is a well known, proven reliable movement and certainly the 116000 reference featuring the maxi-case without slimmer lugs feels like a more masculine looking watch in my opinion, particularly in 6.5”+ size wrists.
Hi,. great job with the Videos. Have you thought about doing a video on the OP34mm, it's the only OP that has Roman Numerals on the dial. I think it looks great and is unique in the OP range - have a look at the dial and you will notice the small numerals.
My all time favorite is 36mm. When buying OP in 36 or 39 the price is almost the same, so buy what you feel comfortable with. When it comes to platinum day date, this is where you will really feel the difference, not only in size but also in price. The 36 mm starts from $30k and 40 mm starts from $70k 🤔 It would be nice if you could compare those beasts
You pretty much covered everything. Me being only five ft. Five in. The 36 mm fits me just fine. My day date yellow gold is also 36 mm. For me to wear the 40 mm day date. Is just to large. I might as put on a clown outfit and walk up and down Broadway. The 36 seems like it is a very good fit. tastefully done watch. I'm glad you spent more time talking about the size. I love my oyster black dial.
I would say 36mm is perfect size for this remember 40mm + cases only became the norm in the last 15 years or so.the classic size for a man's watch is 34 to 37mm,39 for a diver or chrono.I wear a 1970 oyster 6426 which I bought around 30 years ago and I feel it still looks stylish.
Style is timeless. To be trendy means following what others say is popular but to have style is the inner quality of being bold and confident. The 1970 OP is timeless.
very good review, it was now a Objetive review. Thanks for all the measures of the watch in the case, dial, lug to lug, etc. Congrats Hafiz ! you did a very good Objetive Job now. no preference for the brand !! Excelent!
Great video, and I appreciate your perspective. You have a high level of professionalism and attention to the detail without being brash. Thank you for the measurements and the great photography as well as frame of reference to both the Sub and also with your wrist. I’m also a fan of the medium sized (36mm) Rolex and have yet to see the Op36 in person. I was fortunate to be high on the list for the Exp36 which I am enjoying, despite the online comments about it being too small. The case also wears larger and is a classical look that has the versatility to go from the ocean to the ballroom.
Excellent video and analysis! Please analyze the differences in size/wear of the old 36mm Explorer (114270) vs the new 36mm Explorer (124270) and this OP36 (116000). Apparently the new Explorer wears larger than the old one eventhough the bracelet has gotten narrower!
The 124270 is a great watch and I highly recommend. If you can get your hands on both you’ll have a hard choice. I do like the glossy finish and prefer the Arabic numerals which add a bit of uniqueness to the dial.
@@JiiHate wrong. This is why you have kerning pairs. LY is a standard, common, kerning pair that needs to have a negative value assigned to it in order to optically compensate for the overhang. Yours is one of the best watch channels online. Such an amazing work! At the 2:02 I can´t help but notice the misaligned crown "text" at the inside of the bezel on the 12 position. Can you confirm if that´s the case, please?
Dude you are such a thorough and relaxing reviewer. I was going to go with a Frederique Constant Flyback Chrono Manufacture that's 42mm but your description of the watch size and fit on a 6.5 inch wrist (mine are 6.25) and your shots of the watch are making me lean towards an oyster perpetual aghhhh
Great video as always. Thank you. I heard from another well known channel that Rolex used a much cheaper painting on this watch vs the last generation witch had enamel pait. I was hopping you would touch up on that. What do you know about it?
Ermm, I have noticed some dust on the dial and hands. Scratches also found on both hands too. How could you take this watch from the AD? I know that Oyster Perpetual is the entry watch, but I should expect it to be flawless of the price you paid for.
You’re becoming my favourite watch channel because of all of the “real life perspective” wrist shots. No other account really does that and I’m glad that you do.
Jesse: *_Yes indeed I agree 100%_*
Agreed. Love the 3rd person view.
Absolutely agree about real life wrist shots!
Totally
I think that the 36mm Oyster Perpetual and Datejust are much more elegant than the 41mm.
I 100% agree, the DJ 41 are big and kind of takes away the elegance of the classic DJ’s
Agree , 41 too big
In November 2019 I tried on the 39mm in both London and Paris. (I was never able to locate one in the United States.) I found that one too big and heavy for me, so I expect the new 41 version will be as well.

Best 36 review yet, congratulations.
Amazing, this is exactly what is was looking for, finally some real measurements for the new OP 36 mm. Thank you very much.
Wow what an epic review! Probably the best for the OP36 by a mile! The macro shots are something else, thank you!

Wow the black actually looks very tempting now that I’ve seen it on the wrist!
You won't be disappointed with the black dial. I'm guessing this is why so many date just have the black dial also.

The quality of your video is Rolex quality
adding the EZ link is great for the OP. It's now perfect. I thought the double markers at 3 6 9 would bother me but they look great. Awesome video
Another great in-depth video, keep up your hard work. Much appreciated.
Nicely done. Got a date just 36 mm. Looks small n nice on my 6.5 inch wrist.
I'm on the list for this or the green. Both in 36mm. Classic and beautiful. The perfect one watch "collection". Bravo
Incredible video. Excellent channel. Keep it up. This and your explorer comparison are great videos.
Brilliantly shot, thanks Hafiz!
I really appreciate your wrist shots have the watch above the wrist bone.
Another wonderfully detailed review Hafiz. Thank-you for your exquisite work.
If the 116000 (Blue Explorer dial) had been upgraded with :
1. Easylink
2. 70 hr movement

Would it be THE best OP36mm there is..?

Great vids man...Love the panning wrist shots instead of only POV wrist shots most reviews show. Please consider a 36mm OP vs 39 mm OP vid! Thanks
Do these new OP’s have AR coating? I thought it’s only all new professional models that do
Very informative and detailed. Thanks

This video made me order an OP36 in black.
2:50 Why they can't propery kern (space) the LY is just inexcusable. Novice typographical error. My eyes hurt. OFFICIALL Y
Because the upper part of Y is as close to the lower part of the L as the other letters are to each other.
