Thanks for your help...I successfully repaired my son's camera using you video....It had blown over when he was using a tripod in the wind and the lens was comprehensively broken!

Nice to know I could help! I was trying to find a video for lens removal for this camera, when my lens started to malfunction, and I didn't find any. That's when I decided to create one, using my mobile phone... :-P

Very useful, I want to just change the control dial part. Now I have more confidence. But I was NOT expecting a drill lol!

My camera has dust inside the lens. I clean up the dust inside the lens and the sensor help from your video.
I also broke screw same place that you broke I have to drill too. Thanks for your video.

This is an excellent and informative video! Is that the RTC (real time clock) battery at the top of the case? And did you notice what kind of battery it takes? I have one of these small Canon S120 cams, so that would be great to know for future reference... although I'm not sure if I could reassemble this camera. LOL! ;-)

This is part of the rotating dial on the top of the camera...I don't think it has an RTC battery, never had to change one over the last 15y I own the camera ☺️

@@har22b I see. How does it keep the time and date correct when it's powered down without a battery? Does it use a capacitor or something like that?

This is amazing you make it look simple, but sure it wouldn't be if I tried to do it. I have one of these cameras Canon PowerShot s120. Had it over 3 years but dropped it recently. Now my videos fragment, break up into fragments. When I load them onto computer. But when I review the video in camera it looks fine?

my canon's display is starting to get dark to a point where i can't see the picture i've taken. it's not the battery, do you have any idea what is happening and if i can fix it?
