hello guys, I think you should invest into fly rod , you would have fun and catch a lot trout in cherokee, I do Iam a fly rod guy from NJ, I fish alot of states, and I fish cherokee, Iam only 600 miles away.. good luck maybe some day I ;ll see you on the stream, let you try fishing with a fly rod, I always have 3 fly rods with, I have 5ft one for small wils streams in different states. good fishing
Thanks for reaching out. Me and dad actually have a fly rod we practice throwing at lakes and around the house. Haven’t had the confidence to take it to the rivers yet, it is definitely a goal we are working towards. 👍🏼
Try working your way upstream when fishing. Throw upstream but reel fast enough to keep spinner moving and swing it in behind the slack water behind the rocks. Fish are looking upstream and they also won't see you.
We go about 5 times a year. I usually fish the smaller waters. It's nothing for us to catch 30 to 60 a day. Pink Berkley trout worms, Joe's Flies and Panther Martins.
