Congratulations on your catch. I always run my fingers down my line every so often, checking for frays or nicks in the line. Retie the line often and you won't lose trophy fish as often. Great video
Let’s goooooooooooooooo! Proud of you brother! Keep chasing that dream! Gotta get me on the job life so we can chase it together! This 9-5 getting old fast lol your content and confidence on camera has grown so much from day 1!
That's why I use much deeper net for larger trout rivers now. I have lost a 26"+ Lahontan cutthroat trout that bounced out, just like your trout. By the way, that trout you lost was much bigger than 15". Nice looking river!
I need to get one of those nets. I hardly think I'll get into a trout that size but definitely worth it. And that is correct - I tend to downsize when you see it at first but after reviewing the film he was much closer to 18". Would have been size to show her off a little! Thanks tho! Hope you enjoy the channel
No worries man. I’m just messing around when I say it that way, I’ve lived in the south for a while and know the proper ways. Haha But yessir imma keep them lines wet. Thanks for the comment! Good luck to you, sir!
The trout with the torn mouth might have been a wash down from the catch and keep. It's tiny compared to what they normally stock. Awesome job. I usually fly fish the catch and keep because there's more fish to catch and release and its only $10.
Much appreciated! You know these waters pretty good too, it seems. I don't mind catch and release. But I have kept trout before but mainly when on backpacking trips. But that trout I tried to show his good side. The other side of this mouth was pretty bad. I hope it wasn't a careless fisherman but barbless hooks are the way to go for me. These trout have a full time job just to make it another day haha
Sorry for the late reply sir! Been one hell of a summer. I’ll keep catching them tho. Ending up getting a Fish Pond and hated the price but damn it I love fishing and I don’t care. Hope you’re still tuning in.
Is that the Smokies cuz I swear I was at that Confluence in 2017. Nevertheless tight lines brother, also I probably would have had a curse real longer than the video itself if I lost that fish😳. Tight lines
Awesome video. Digging the voiceover to add some additional info on tactics/thought process. Living vicariously from over here in Durham.
Love it! Preciate you’re enjoying the channel! New content soon

That was 18”. It is rare that a fisherman UNDERestimates a fish!
Haha thanks man. That was a tough trout to loose when that close to showing it off!
